Disclosed is a shock sensor for detecting an attack on a facility equipped with the shock sensor, comprising: a microprocessor; a micro electromechanical system in communication with the microprocessor, the micro electromechanical system being integrated with a shock sensing device adapted to sense a shock generated by the attack in any direction and a microchip adapted to receive and store at least one parameter from the microprocessor and to analyze a shock signal generated by the shock based on the at least one parameter; and an output device connected with the microprocessor and adapted to output information based on an analysis result of the shock signal. According to the invention, the shock sensor can detect reliably any attack and has a simple circuit arrangement.

Detected magnetic field strengths of a magnetic field created by a magnet of an opening sensor as detected by a magnetometer sensor of the opening sensor may be received over a time period. It may be determined that there has been a change in the strength of the magnetic field created by the magnet as detected by the magnetometer sensor based on the received detected magnetic field strengths. Accelerometer data from an accelerometer disposed in the magnetometer sensor may be received. It may be determined from the accelerometer data that the magnetometer sensor was not moving and positive feedback may be provided to an installer of the opening sensor, or it may be determined from the accelerometer data that the magnetometer sensor was moving and negative feedback may be provided to the installer of the opening sensor.

Die Erfindung macht sich die grundlegende Idee zu Nutze, fabrikneue Gasmelder (4) als Normale bei der Feldkalibrierung zu verwenden. Dabei werden die fabrikneuen Gasmelder (4) entweder unmittelbar als Gebrauchsnormale eingesetzt. In diesem Fall entfällt die regelmäßige Kalibrierung durch ein Bezugsnormal, da die fabrikneuen Gasmelder (4) immer als hinreichend genau gelten. Alternativ hierzu werden die fabrikneuen Gasmelder (4) mittelbar, nämlich als hinreichend genau kalibrierte Bezugsnormale für die als Gebrauchsnormale dienenden, im Prüfgerät (1) eingebauten Referenzgassensoren (22) eingesetzt. A system and method for calibrating an acoustic detector. The method includes the steps of simultaneously transmitting an acoustic signal and an electromagnetic signal to an acoustic detector, receiving both signals, calculating a timing difference between the reception of the acoustic signal and electromagnetic signal, and setting a first time threshold used to determine if a glass panel is broken using the calculated difference and storing the first time threshold. A sensitivity level is also set based upon the determined timing difference. A unique key signature in the acoustic signal and electromagnetic signal is detected and matched with a stored signature to determine whether the signals are from a calibration signal. The timing difference is only calculated if both signals are calibration signals.

The air guard may include a control valve, and possibly control circuits, to enable selective activation of the air guard. In one embodiment, the air guard includes one or more slits configured to vent pressurized air in a generally laminar (curtain like) flow in front of the window to prevent the deposition of airborne contaminants thereon. Alternatively, or additionally, the air guard may include one or more nozzles configured to vent pressurized air in directed air streams toward the window to remove surface contaminants thereon, and may include a control valve enabling selective operation in preventive, cleaning, or standby modes. Mode control may be effected by an external control system, by the presence sensing device, or by the air guard itself, which may include a timer or other control circuit.
