Provided is a rectangular insulated wire having an improved flex resistance property by achieving both an improvement in adhesion between insulating layers and prevention of occurrence of a crack reaching a conductor, while maintaining flexibility and resistance to thermal softening, and further having an excellent AFT-resistant property. A rectangular insulated wire (1) is provided with a rectangular conductor (2) having a generally rectangular cross section, a thermosetting resin layer (3) formed to cover the rectangular conductor, a thermoplastic resin layer (4) formed to cover the thermosetting resin layer, and a thermoplastic resin layer (5) formed to cover the thermoplastic resin layer (4). An adhesion strength between the thermosetting resin layer (3) and the thermoplastic resin layer (4) and an adhesion strength between the thermoplastic resin layers (4) and (5) are 50 gf/mm to 100 gf/mm, respectively. In the thermoplastic resin layer (4), a relative crystallinity calculated based on heat of fusion and heat of crystallization measured by differential scanning calorimetry is greater than or equal to 20% and less than or equal to 50%.

Provided are: an electrically insulating resin sheet for motors, which is used for achieving the insulation between coil wires or between a coil wire and an iron core in a motor, and which has high heat resistance, high electrical insulation performance and a high insulation breakdown voltage; and a process for producing the electrically insulating resin sheet. The electrically insulating resin sheet for motors, which is provided with a porous resin layer comprising a thermoplastic resin, is characterized in that the resin sheet has a relative permittivity of 2.0 or less at 1 GHz. It is preferred that the porous resin layer has an average cell diameter of 5.0 µm or less and contains cells in such an amount that the porosity is 30 % or more.

This invention provides a multilayered electric insulated wire comprising a conductor and three or more extruded insulation layers covering the conductor. In the insulation layers, the outermost layer (A) in the insulation layer is formed of an extruded covering layer of such a resin that the elongation of the resin immersed for 2 sec in a solder tank of 150ºC is at least equal to that before the heat treatment and is not less than 290%. The innermost layer (B) is formed of such a resin that the elongation of the resin immersed for 2 sec in a solder tank of 150ºC is at least equal to that before the heat treatment and is not less than 290%. The insulation layer (C) between the outermost layer and the innermost layer is formed of an extruded covering layer of a crystalline resin having a melting point of 280ºC or above or a noncrystalline resin having a glass transition temperature of 200ºC or above. There is also provided a transformer comprising the multilayered electric insulated wire.

The invention relates to a method for the production of flat conductor strip cables which are made of a plurality of parallel flat conductors which are embedded in a polymer. Said method comprises the following steps (a) preparing an extrudable polymer; (b) softening the extrudable polymer which was prepared in step (a); (c) setting a constant volume flow of the softened polymer obtained in step (b) and (d) bringing together the constant volume flow of the softened polymer with the parallel flat conductors in a tool in order to form flat conductor strip cables.
