The aim of the invention is to enable a reliable and long-lasting connection between an electrical conductor (2) consisting of a soft material, especially an aluminium conductor, and a contact element (18, 24) consisting of a harder material. To this end, the conductor (2) is at least partially extrusion-coated in a contact region (6) by means of a thermal spray method, with an electroconductive material which is harder than the soft material of the conductor (2), in such a way that a pressure-free electrical connection is created between the soft material and the sprayed material. The contact element (18, 24) is electrically contacted indirectly over the sprayed material. The thermal extrusion-coating in the contact region (6) enables a reliable electrical contact even with soft materials having a cold flow tendency.

Said connector has a first connector half (10) and a second connector half (11) and is designed to electrically connect a contact to a first line (12) and to a second line (13).
