A system and method are presented for learning call analysis. Audio fingerprinting may be employed to identify audio recordings that answer communications. In one embodiment, the system may generate a fingerprint of a candidate audio stream and compare it against known fingerprints within a database. The system may also search for a speech-like signal to determine if the end point contains a known audio recording. If a known audio recording is not encountered, a fingerprint may be computed for the contact and the communication routed to a human for handling. An indication may be made as to if the call is indeed an audio recording. The associated information may be saved and used for future identification purposes.

Commands on the user messages are executed responsive to the agent.

An enhanced telephony (ET) computer user interface that seamlessly integrates features of a personal computer (PC) and a telephone into a coherent user interface. The user is provided with a rich variety of functionality that leverages the fact that the PC has considerably more processing power and greater access to variety of data than the ordinary telephone. This processing power and data access is used to the user's advantage as the telephone's capabilities and functionality are greatly expanded. In general, the ET user interface includes a plurality of environments for the user to choose. These environments include a My Contacts environment, a communication preferences environment, and a Call History environment. Each of these environments contains certain available processes and features for controlling and managing telephones.

The present disclosure relates to voicemail categorization and access. An apparatus, for example a PBX, is provided for categorizing voicemails. The apparatus is configured to store voicemail messages and to determine and store metadata associated with the voicemail messages. The apparatus allows searches of the stored voicemail messages to be performed using the associated metadata. A user interface may reside on a user device or be provided by the apparatus. The interface allows other user to search for voicemails using the metadata associated with them and subsequently displays information about the voicemails which match the search criteria.
