摘要: In a plurality of inkjet printers, variation of color reproduction characteristic of each of the inkjet printers is reduced appropriately.
In a program for making a computer execute an image formation processing, an output image creation processing (S54) is executed by the computer so that output image data are created on the basis of printing data. A plurality of the printing apparatuses perform printing of the same image on the basis of output image data adjusted depending on color reproduction characteristic of each of the printing apparatuses. The output image creation processing (S54) includes a rasterize processing (S62), an apparatus common color conversion processing (S64) in which color conversion common to a plurality of the printing apparatuses is executed by using one ICC profile, and an each apparatus adjustment processing (S66) in which adjustment for reducing variation of color reproduction characteristic in each of a plurality of the printing apparatuses is executed by using calibration information prepared for each of the printing apparatuses.

摘要: A data processing system for printing print jobs originating from workstations on a computer network, for copying copy jobs and for scanning scan jobs to the workstations, the data processing system comprising a multifunction peripheral (MFP) (110a) and a Host (110b). The MFP (110a) is for printing, copying and scanning, the multifunction peripheral and comprises a paper tray (270), a display (280), a user input device (285), a first processor (235), a first data storage device (290) for multifunction peripheral program storage, a second rewritable data storage device (255) for short term storage and a third non-volatile rewritable data storage device (245), a first communications interface (215) and a first clock for generating a first clock signal to the first processor (235). The Host (110b) is for sending print jobs to the multifunction peripheral (110a) for printing and for receiving scan jobs, the Host comprising a second processor (230), a fourth rewritable non-volatile data storage device for storing Host programs and data and a fifth rewritable memory (220) for short term storage, a second communications interface (210) coupled to the communications interface (215) of the multifunction peripheral (110a) by a communications channel (205), a third communications interface for communicating with a remote monitoring computer and a first clock for generating a second clock signal to the second processor (230). The MFP periodically stores its status information and the Host periodically receives this status information and stores it in a database in the Host. A technician may select some or all of the information to be provided to the technician on the occurrence, of a number of trigger conditions. The technician may set the trigger conditions from any of the reportable status conditions. The Host automatically will connect to a remote monitoring computer designated by the technician and provide the selected information. The Host can also safe the selected information to a removable storage medium.

摘要: An illumination device includes a light guide made of plastic, and a light source including a light emitting element whose dominant wavelength is a light emission wavelength in an infrared region, and identifies a banknote. White reference plates are provided at positions that are at opposite ends of a rod lens array and cover respective areas external to an image region across the banknote. A correction coefficient is acquired by calculation. The calculation is made by correcting an illuminance such that IR correction data is substantially identical to IR reference data preliminarily stored in a memory circuit in a signal processor on the basis of IR white reference data representing a white reference illuminance generated from light reflected from the white reference plates. The correction coefficient is used for correcting IR image data when the banknote is read.

摘要: A method for using void pantographs (12) involves generating a test sheet (10) including multiple void pantographs (12, TP), where each of the multiple void pantographs (12, TP) includes a pantograph foreground (14) and a pantograph background (16). The test sheet (10) is printed, and from the printed test sheet (10), at least one of the multiple void pantographs (12, TP) having a covert or semi- covert pantograph foreground (14) and background (16) is identified. The printed test sheet (10) is scanned, and from the scanned test sheet (10), at least one of the multiple void pantographs (12, TP) having an overt pantograph foreground (14) is identified. A workflow is developed for the at least one of the multiple void pantographs (12, TP) having both i) the covert or semi-covert pantograph foreground (14) and background (16) after printing, and ii) the overt pantograph foreground (14) after scanning.
