摘要: A cutting apparatus for a welding machine cuts the corresponding end portion of a preceding member which will be welded and that of a following member before the two members are welded to each other. A shearing frame (19) is formed substantially in a C-shape, and is constructed so that portions thereof defining an opening therebetween can be connected by connecting mechanisms (21), (25) to close the opening. During cutting, the opening is closed so that the shearing frame (19) itself receives the reaction force due to the cutting, thereby enabling a reduction in both the size and weight of the apparatus. When the shearing frame is moved horizontally, the connecting mechanisms are disengaged from each other to open the opening and allow the member which is to be welded to pass therethrough.

摘要: A punch and die set (1) is provided for use in a stamping press (10) having a punch assembly (100) and a die assembly (200) reciprocated by a driving mechanism (25, 30, 35, 37, 38). The punch and die assemblies are aligned to a common center (50) and are structured to slidably engage one another for positive guidance of the punch and die tools without the need for other guidance by shafts, bars or the like. One of the punch assembly and die assembly can be non-fixedly carried by the drive mechanism, allowing the guidance of the engaged punch and die assemblies to define the relative positions of the tools. This arrangement eliminates any stack-up of tolerances between the assemblies and substantially reduces misalignment during stamping, including any misalignment that may be introduced by the press driving mechanism.

摘要: An apparatus and method for cutting piled fabric sections such as carpet tiles is provided. The apparatus comprises a frame (34), a bending assembly for bending pile elements (32) away from the normal substantially vertical orientation with respect to the base of the fabric (33) along a line to be cut, at least one cutting blade (36) for cutting the fabric through a portion of the bent piling elements and fabric base and drives (58, 35) for powering the bending and cutting operations. The related method comprises the steps of bending the pile elements (32) downward toward the fabric base along a line to be cut and thereafter cutting through the bent piling elements (32) and fabric base (33) to form a two-sided cut. Such method shears piling elements adjacent to one side of the cut while leaving the pile elements adjacent to the other side of the cut substantially unaltered.

摘要: A sheet machining apparatus (10) has a die (20) for placing a sheet (16) to be machined thereon, the die (20) being mounted on a lower die base (12) for movement in the direction indicated by the arrow B and having a machining pattern (18) for the sheet (16), a plurality of punches (22) mounted on an upper punch base (14) for machining the sheet (16) in coaction with the die (20) in a predetermined number of machining cycles according to the machining pattern (18), and a feed mechanism (24) for horizontally moving the die (20) to align a machining position on the sheet (16) with the punches (20) each time the sheet is machined by the die (20) and the punches (22). The sheet machining apparatus (10) is relatively simple in structure and can machine various sheets with high accuracy.
