摘要: A method is provided to improve resource-efficiency in beer production by enabling production of a non-fermentable beverage by use of brewer's spent grain, BSG. The method comprises: obtaining (203) BSG from a process of producing beer, mixing (204) the BSG with water into a slurry, processing (205) the slurry for generation of a precursor liquid, and storing (206), during a storage time period, the precursor liquid for subsequent use as base material for production of the non-fermented beverage, wherein the storage time period exceeds 2 hours. The method is simple to integrate with existing beer production. The dependence between the production of non-fermented beverage and the production of beer is reduced, for example allowing for producing beer and non-fermented beverage at different plants.

摘要: A method for combined production of beer and a non-fermented beverage from grain material makes use of a by-product in the beer production to produce the non-fermented beverage and thereby improves resource-efficiency. The method comprises processing (301) the grain material into a mash; separating (302) the mash into a fermentable wort and a retentate; processing (303) a retentate material into a slurry, wherein the retentate material comprises at least a portion of the retentate; separating (304) the slurry into a liquid component and a solid component; processing (305) the liquid component into the non-fermented beverage; processing (306) the fermentable wort into the beer; outputting (307) the non-fermented beverage; and outputting (309) the beer.
