摘要: Es wird eine Gelenkimplantatkomponente (1, 1'; 101; 201) für eine Verabreichung eines Arzneimittels offenbart, die einen Implantatschaft (10, 10'; 110; 210), einen am proximalen Ende des Implantatschafts angeordneten Gelenkabschnitt (20, 20'; 120; 220), eine Spülzuführöffnung (3, 3'; 103; 203) und eine Rückspülöffnung (4, 4'; 104; 204) aufweist. Innerhalb des Implantatschafts erstrecken sich mindestens ein Schaftspülkanal (11, 11'; 111; 211) und ein Schaftrückspülkanal (12, 12'; 112; 212) entlang des Implantatschafts. Der Schaftspülkanal ist für eine Abgabe des Arzneimittels über Schaftspüllöcher (13, 13'; 112; 213) und der Schaftrückspülkanal für eine Aufnahme des abgegebenen Arzneimittels über mindestens ein Schaftrückspülloch (14, 14'; 114; 214) mit der Außenseite des Implantatschafts verbunden. Die Spülzuführöffnung steht mit dem proximalen Ende des Schaftspülkanals in Fluidverbindung und die Rückspülöffnung steht mit dem proximalen Ende des Schaftrückspülkanals in Fluidverbindung. Zudem wird ein Gelenkimplantat mit zwei solchen Gelenkimplantatkomponenten offenbart die durch Gelenkflächenteile (30, 40; 230) miteinander verbunden und relativ zueinander verschwenkbar sind.

摘要: A modular acetabular cup assembly includes an acetabular cup, and a liner seated in the cup. The cup includes an end face, an apex opposite the end face, and a central axis extending between the apex and a center point of the end face. The liner includes an articular surface having a center of rotation which defines a pivot point of the acetabular cup assembly. In certain embodiments, the pivot point is laterally offset from the center point such that the end face is located between the pivot point and the apex.

The locking mechanism may be adapted to interact with the biasing member.
