    摘要: When a resin case is used, scattering of the case at the time of rupture is suppressed. A gas generator includes: an ignition device including an igniter, an igniter holding portion having a tubular shape and being configured to hold the igniter in a state of surrounding the igniter, and a fixing portion made of resin and being configured to fix the igniter to the igniter holding portion; and a case having a bottomed tubular shape and being configured to accommodate a gas generating agent which combusts by actuation of the ignition device, the case made of resin and including a side wall portion with a base end side being connected to the fixing portion, and a closing end portion configured to close a tip end side. The closing end portion includes a fragile part configured to open by a combustion product generated by the gas generating agent, a periphery of the fragile part is greater in thickness than the fragile part, and an annular inclination portion is formed inside the case from a predetermined position of the side wall portion to the fragile part.

    摘要: A gas generator includes a cylindrical partition wall portion (22) including a plurality of gas passage holes (23 a, 23b) through which a gas generated as a result of burning of a gas generating agent passes. Two sealing tapes (24A, 24B) in a form of a band are contiguously bonded to the partition wall portion (22) such that a direction of extension thereof matches with a circumferential direction of the partition wall portion (22) and each one of a pair of end portions located in each direction of extension is layered on an adjacent sealing tape. The gas passage hole (23b) is closed by a layered bonding region (R1, R2) which is a portion where adjacent sealing tapes (24A, 24B) are layered on each other, and the gas passage hole (23a) is closed by a non-layered bonding region which is a portion where adjacent sealing tapes (24A, 24B) are not layered on each other.
