Die Traktionskette ist mit Eingriffen (11) für ein Antriebsrad, mit Spurführungselementen (12), die zur Führung eines Fahrwerks des Kettenfahrzeugs in einer in Laufrichtung der Traktionskette (2) verlaufenden Spur (13) an einer Innenseite (2a) der Traktionskette (2) vorgesehen sind, und mit einer Vielzahl von Anbringeinrichtungen (15, 15c, 15d, 15e) ausgestattet, von denen jede zur Anbringung eines Raupenstegs (6, 7) an einer Außenseite (2b) der Traktionskette (2) und quer zur Laufrichtung der Traktionskette (2) vorgesehen sind. Dabei ist die Traktionskette (2) zur Verwendung mit einer parallel mitlaufenden Seitenkette (3, 4, 5) vorgesehen, wobei des Weiteren die Traktionskette (2) teilweise aus einem elastischen, insbesondere elastomeren Grundmaterial geformt ist, in das wenigstens ein Zugmittel (16) in eine Laufrichtung der Traktionskette (2) verlaufend eingebettet ist.
