摘要: A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition which enables a higher stability under high-temperature conditions while retaining and/or improving the humidity resistance is described, which comprises: an acrylic polymer, and a poly((meth) acrylic acid); wherein a content of poly((meth)acrylic acid) is between 2.5 parts by weight to 10 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of solid matter of the acrylic polymer; and wherein the acrylic polymer has been prepared by emulsion polymerization in the presence of a reactive surfactant in the amount of 1.25 parts by weight and less than 2.0 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by total weight of the monomers constituting the acrylic polymer. In further aspects, a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet or tape comprising a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed from the aforementioned pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is described.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for preparing oil-in-water miniemulsions comprising monomer droplets with a mean diameter in the range of from 50 to 1000 nm, wherein the monomer droplets comprising superhydrophobic and/or hydrophobic monomers. The method comprises the addition of adding an oil phase to an emulsifier system, wherein the oil phase comprises at least 5 wt.-% to 100 wt.-% of one or more superhydrophobic monomers and/or hydrophobic monomers and 0 wt.-% to 60 wt.-% of hydrophilic monomers and the emulsifier system comprises at least one glucamide surfactant or a mixture of surfactants comprising at least 20 wt.-% and less than 100 wt.-% of the at least one glucamide surfactant and more than 0 wt.-% to 80 wt.-% of at least one anionic surfactant, and water, until gel formation is observed, and diluting the obtained gel with an aqueous phase.
Further embodiments are miniemulsions prepared by the described method and their use for the preparation of polymer dispersions which can be used as binders for paints or coatings.-
