The present invention discloses a biodegradable polyester composition, wherein based on a total weight of the biodegradable polyester composition, a weight content of a cyclic ester compound having a structure shown as formula (I) is 100ppm-950ppm;
and based on the total weight of the biodegradable polyester composition, a weight content of cyclopentanone is 0.5ppm-85ppm. In the present invention, by adding the cyclic ester compound and cyclopentanone into the composition and controlling the content of the cyclic ester compound and the content of cyclopentanone in a certain range in the composition, an anti-thermal oxidative aging property of the biodegradable polyester composition can be greatly improved. Besides, after being digested with 95% ethanol at 40°C for 240 hours, a film prepared by blow molding or a part prepared by injection molding has little precipitate separating out of the surface and has an excellent surface appearance property. In addition, the lubrication degree of film during the blow molding process of the biodegradable polyester can be improved. When the velocity of film blowing is 176 Kg/h, a range of a film thickness is less than 0.2µm and a relative deviation of the film thickness is less than 1%. Bubble stability and continuity of film blowing are guaranteed.

Plastic additives which are useful as nucleating agents and which are especially useful for improving the optical properties of polymeric materials are provided. More particularly, this invention relates to certain alkyl (or alkoxy) substituted halo-benzylidene sorbitol acetals, as well as symmetric DBS compounds comprising specific pendant groups, such as C3-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 alkoxy, nitro, as well as phenyl and methylenedioxy(as the combination of two available sites on the pertinent ring system), and furthermore the benzylidene rings may be indan or tetralin, and polymer compositions thereof any such compounds and mixtures thereof. Such compounds may be utilized within, as merely examples, food or cosmetic containers and packaging. The inventive halogenated (that is, chlorinated, brominated, or iodinated) and alkylated benzylidene sorbitol acetals are also useful as gelling agents for water and organic solvents, particularly those used in the preparation of antiperspirant gel sticks.

The invention describes methods of preparation and compositions of plasticizers. The plasticizers include at least 2 alkyl ketal ester moieties and have a molecular weight of greater than 300. In one aspect, the alkyl ketal ester moieties are levulinic ester ketals. Certain compositions contain at least one of an antioxidant, a UV stabilizer, a thermal stabilizer or mixtures thereof, present in the composition from about 0.01 to about 5.0 percent by weight of the total composition.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a polypropylene (F) for a film capacitor having excellent stretchability and uniformity in stretching, which is preferable for a biaxially stretched film that has a small thermal shrinkage ratio and sufficient breakdown voltage even in a harsh environment with a high temperature and a high frequency current and a film capacitor including the biaxially stretched film. The polypropylene (F) of the present invention includes a propylene homopolymer and an α crystal nucleating agent having a melting point of not more than 290°C, wherein the propylene homopolymer satisfies: (1) MFR (JIS K 7210, 230°C, a load of 2.16 kg) is within a range of 1 to 10 (g/10 min); (2) the mmmm fraction is not less than 93%; (3) the proportion of erythro regio defects is less than 0.1% by mol, as determined using 13 C-NMR; (4) the ash amount is not more than 50 ppm, as obtained by completely burning the propylene homopolymer in the air; (5) the chlorine amount is not more than 5 ppm, as determined by ion chromatography; and (6) the molecular weight distribution Mw/Mn is 6.5 to 12, as measured by GPC.
