摘要: A divalent metal fluorohalide phosphor having a compositional formula:
(wherein, M" is at least one member selected from the group consisting of beryllium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, zinc, and cadmium, X is at least one member selected from the group consisting of chlorine, bromine, and iodine, and a, x, y, and z are numbers satisfying the respective conditions 0.5≤a≤1.25, 0≤x≤1, 10 -6 ≤y≤2x10 1 , and 0 -1 , that when exposed to and allowed to absorb radiation or ionizing radiation, and subsequently excited with a light of 450 to 800nm of tube wave length, provides stimulated emission of light with heretofore unattainable high luminance.
A radiation image storage panel is produced by depositing on a support a phosphor layer formed of the afore referred to phosphor.

摘要: In a method for producing a binderless Eu-doped CsBr-type storage phosphor screen from a combination of phosphor precursors in order to prepare a CsBr:Eu storage phosphor by vacuum depositing said CsBr:Eu phosphor on a substrate, wherein during a vacuum depositing step said substrate is kept at a temperature T, such that 50 °C ≤ T ≤ 300 °C and wherein said vacuum deposition proceeds in an Ar-atmosphere with an Ar-pressure of at most 3 Pa; during or after at least one of the said steps a radiation exposure treatment is given with energy from radiation sources emitting short ultraviolet radiation in the range from 150 nm to 300 nm with an energy of at least 10 mJ/mm 2 .

摘要: Light sources modified to provide enhanced perceived coloration of illuminated objects. Light sources as normally designed, without the present modification, have an envelope-enclosed source of radiations having appreciable emissions in the wavelength range of from 565 nm to 595 nm plus substantial emissions of visible radiations of wavelengths shorter than 565 nm. A phosphor is carried on the surrounding envelope and is operable to absorb radiations in the wavelength range of from 565 nm to 595 nm and to convert absorbed radiations to longer wavelength emission in the range of from 596 nm to 640 nm.

摘要: In one embodiment of the invention, a marine article of the invention includes a phosphorescent phosphor. A particularly advantageous phosphorescent phosphor comprises MA12O4. As used herein, "M" is at least one cation selected from a group consisting of calcium, strontium, and barium. The phosphor comprises 0.001 % to 10 % of a europium activator, and 0.001 % to 10 % of at least one dopant selected from the group consisting of lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, gadolinium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, lutetium, tin and bismuth as a co-activator, in terms of mol % relative to the metal element expressed by M. The phosphorescent marine article has an afterglow corresponding to a luminance of at least 0.3 mCd/m for at least 420 minutes.
