An object is to provide a cloth tape having flame retardancy and a fiber product, and means for achieving the object is a cloth tape formed from an organic fiber, which has an afterflame time of 2.0 seconds or less, as measured in the flammability prescribed in JIS L1091-1999 A-4 method (12-second heating method).

The present invention relates to a method for producing a textile product (I), (II), comprising at least two synthetic pile threads (PI), (P2) having a different pile height, so that a predetermined design is formed, in which the synthetic pile yarns (PI), (P2) are manufactured by extrusion from the same raw material, according to production processes which only differ from each other by a different setting of one or several process parameters of their respective extrusion processes, so that they have a different shrinking capability, and in which the textile product (I), (II) is subjected to a heat treatment which causes the pile yarns (PI), (P2) to shrink differently. The invention also relates to such a method for producing synthetic textile yarns (PI), (P2) having a different shrinking capability.

A purpose of the present invention is to provide a gauze fabric having good touch feeling and capable of being sewn. The gauze fabric includes surface layer, back layer, and at least one middle layer, wherein the surface layer is composed of non-twisted yarns, wherein the back layer is composed of non-twisted yarns, wherein the at least one middle layer is composed of twisted yarns, and wherein the surface layer and the back layer are directly and/or indirectly joined together.

Woven fabric, particularly a warp faced fabric, such as a denim fabric, comprising a front (2) and a back (3), a plurality of picks (6) extending in weft direction and a plurality of warp yarns (4,5) extending in warp direction and bypassing picks 86) at their front side (62) to define over portions (43,53) and bypassing picks (6) at their back side (63) to define under portions (41, 51), wherein said plurality of warp yarns (4,5) comprise frontside warp yarns (4) and backside warp yarns (5), and the under portions of the backside warp yarns (5) bypass more picks (6) than the under portions of the frontside warp yarns (4).

A three dimensional weave fabric material is disclosed for use in producing garments and other items. The three dimensional weave fabric material comprises two layers of material, a face layer and back layer. The face layer and the back layer are then woven together via floating threads to create predetermined patterns or areas where the two layers are not woven together. These areas which are not woven together create tubes. Specifically, the weaving is controlled by a computer program that will weave or not weave the two layers together. Once the weaving is complete, the three dimensional weave fabric material is heat treated. The heat treating process shrinks the floating threads, causing manipulation of the tube. Specifically, the tube puffs or stands up more than if there was no heat treatment. Additionally, the tubes can be filled with fibers or other suitable materials to make the puffed areas more firm.

Energy absorbing fabrics that are generally flat and that have a controllable and significant elongation distance. The fabrics are comprised of elongation yarns, such as partially oriented yarns (POY), and binder yarns, where the elongation yarns and the binder yarns have various weave-in percentages depending on the desired amount of elongation. In certain embodiments, because they are generally flat, the energy absorbing fabrics are suitable for use in retractors. Also provided are processes of manufacturing generally flat, energy absorbing fabrics.

A fabric with wefts (105,106) that include first hard yarns and second, elastomeric, yarns in a predetermined arrangement such that at least one first hard yarn (106) is alternately arranged with at least one second, elastomeric, yarn (105), the second yarns (105) having a greater shrinkage ratio than that of the first hard yarns (106); the first hard yarns form under portions (107) and over portions (108) with respect to warps (104), said under portions (107) being formed when said first hard yarns (106) pass along the back side of the warps (104) and defining loop portions (107a), and said over portions (108) being formed when the first hard yarns (106) pass along the front side of the warps (104) and define connection portions (108a), wherein for each first hard yarn (106), the number of warps passed by the loop portion is at least 6, and the second, elastomeric, yarns (105) form under portions and over portions with respect to said warps in a weave that is tighter than the weave of the first hard yarns (106).
