The water faucet comprises: a faucet outlet; at least one faucet inlet; a faucet pipe fluidly coupling the faucet outlet with the at least one faucet inlet; a valve seat; a valve member positioned at the valve seat; and a flow element connected to the valve member and positioned at least partly within the faucet pipe. The valve member is shiftable from an open configuration to a closed configuration relative to the valve seat. The open configuration fluidly couples a faucet interior of the water faucet to a faucet exterior of the water faucet and the closed configuration fluidly seals the faucet interior from the faucet exterior. The invention further relates to a method of shifting a valve member, a valve assembly, and use of a valve assembly.

The invention relates to a device for dispensing water, intended in particular to be fitted to water points installed in areas that may be subjected to negative temperatures, such as rest areas on motorways. The device comprises a water-dispensing pipe (2) having: an external portion (2a) suitable for being arranged outside a thermally insulated unit (3) and for supplying water by means of an outlet opening (2b); and an internal portion (2c) connected to a first channel (4) of a valve (5) having at least three channels (4, 6, 9), which valve can be arranged inside the insulated unit and controlled by a control means (7) that can be actuated from the outside, said valve comprising a second channel (6) that can be connected to a water source and a closure element which can move, by means of the control means, between an open position, in which the first channel communicates only with the second channel to supply the outlet opening, and a closed position, in which the two channels do not communicate. The dispensing pipe is suitable for being arranged through a non-horizontal wall (3a) that ensures the insulated unit is thermally insulated. In the closed position, the first channel communicates solely and systematically with the third channel. In this way, in the closed position, all or some of the residual water content in the non-insulated portion of the dispensing pipe is automatically discharged owing to gravity and draught via the third channel.

Such recirculation makes the recirculating loop and water within the loop less sensitive to the temperature of the surrounding environment and enables water distribution in freezing temperatures without a need for external heating.
