With this configuration, it is possible to suppress increase in electric power consumption associated with an electrical control mechanism.

The dual pump system according to the present invention includes: a dual pump provided with a plurality of chambers independent from each other, wherein an input and an output port are provided in each of the chambers; a plurality of output lines connected to the output ports of the plurality of chambers, respectively; and a switching valve that is provided in an output line of one side of the plurality of output lines, enables a fluid to flow to the output line when operating in one direction, and enables the fluid to be drained to an oil pan through a bypass line branched from the output line when operating in the other direction.

The housing has a suction passage (14b) conducting the fluid from a suction port (14a) to the pump unit, a discharge passage (15a) conducting the fluid from the pump unit to a discharge port (15b) , a return passage (16c) returning a portion of the fluid flowing through the discharge passage to an upstream side of the pump unit, and a control valve (90) controlling a flow of the returned fluid. The return passage (16c) is formed so as to conduct the returned fluid in the same direction as a flow of a sucked fluid flowing through the suction passage (14b) to make the returned fluid flow together with the sucked fluid. As a result, pump efficiency can be improved while preventing a disorder of the flow, flow loss and the like.
