This enables the combustion gas outlet 11 to be covered by hot coals 53 within the combustion chamber 10 so that any combustion gas from the combustion chamber or any pre-combustion zone must pass through a filter of hot coals 53 before reaching the combustion gas outlet 11.

    摘要: A wood burning stove (1) with a catalytic combustor (35) and combustor bypass structure (44,45) to increase fuel- burning efficiency and safety by reducing creosote emission by the stove and to provide for safe stove operation even if the catalytic combustor becomes blocked, clogged or otherwise obstructed. The single and multiple bypass structures disclosed utilize bypasses located adjacent to the catalytic combustor or combustors to provide for efficient operation with relatively little smoke flow through the bypass during normal operation and with at least partial combustion of smoke which does bypass the combustor. A smoke relief door automatically actuated by opening the fuel loading door (16) to prevent smoke spillage into the room is also disclosed together with alternative means for supplying secondary air to the stove's combustion chamber in the vicinity of the catalytic combustor.

    摘要: A scrubber (9) for use in an incineration system to remove particulate materials and provide complete combustion of the combustion gas. The scrubber (9) defines a scrubber chamber (8) having an inlet through which hot combustion gas is introduced and having an outlet for discharge of the gas. Suspended within the scrubber chamber (8) are a plurality of elongated plates (18) composed of a temperature resistant metal, such as Inconel. The plates (18) are arranged in a pattern to provide a tortuous path of flow for the combustion gas through the chamber (8), and prevent direct flow from the inlet to the outlet. In a preferred form of the invention, the plates (18) are arranged in rows with the spacing between plates (18) in one row being aligned with plates in an adjacent row. As the combustion gas flows through the chamber (8), the particulate material will migrate to and collect on the front and rear plate surfaces. During periods of intermittent use, the plates will expand and contract causing the particulate material to fall therefrom for collection in a collection bin (25). The arrangement of the plates also promotes mixing of air with the combustion gas to promote complete combustion of combustibles.

The dry distillation gasification combustion apparatus, wherein a gas introduction pipe is connected to a dry distillation gas take-out opening of the dry distillation gas producer, the impurity removing tank is provided in an intermediate portion of the gas introducing pipe and the gas burner section is connected to the forward end portion of the gas introducing pipe, characterized in that the dry distillation gas producer is provided at the bottom portion of a tank furnace thereof with an air chamber and an air blow-out portion communicating with the air chamber, air thus supplied flows along a ventilating recessed portion around an air diffusion cap and spreads softly and uniformly over the whole bottom surface, the combustion burner section is provided in the cylindrical burner body thereof with a preheating burner portion, and the first and second air supply portions, the air blown out and supplied from the opening of the first air supply portion is agitated and mixed with the combustion gas in the burner body, air preheated by an air storing layer, which is supplied from the second air supply portion, can be agitated and mixed with the combustion gas in the vicinity of a combustion opening portion.
