摘要： This spring balance is fitted with several scales. It is thus available for several purposes, for example it can be used as a calorie balance. The lower casing section (2) is provided for this purpose with a longitudinal slot (25) through which projects an indicator tag (12) fitted to the upper casing section (1). A transparent rotatable hollow cylinder (4) is fitted on the lower casing section. 摘要： A weighing scale having a plurality of elastic elements which provide for restorable deflection under load. The scale has a support plate which rests on the elastic elements. A first lever is pivotally mounted on the support plate and has an intermediate position in engagement with one or more contact points provided on the base plate. A second lever is in contact with the first lever and pivotally mounted on the support plate for actuation in response to pivotal movements of the first lever as the support plate is loaded. The second lever is urged to maintain contact with the first lever, and thus the first lever with the one or more of the contact points on the base plate as the support plate lowers under load. A response means is provided to actuation of the second lever by the first lever to provide a measure of the magnitude of the load on the support plate.

摘要： The scale of the present invention has a housing with a recess in its upper surface to allow rotative movement of a pointer therein. Numerals corresponding to weight are disposed on an annular disc-shaped dial carried by the upper periphery of the housing. A transparent cover plate overlies the recess in which the pointer rotates. The recess, pointer and dial are arranged and dimensioned so that the pointer and numerals can be easily read by a user from a standing position. The dial and cover are flush with the outer edge of the housing so that the entire upper surface of the scale is easy to clean and comfortable.

摘要： A weighing instrument for the analysis of the weight-related characteristics of different materials has a pointer (18) rotated about an axis in response to the weight of the material and which indicates a selected characteristic of the material on a selected graduated scale (21) carried by an interchangeable slide (20). In the preferred embodiment, the weighing instrument is part of a diet control system also including an organised set of interchangeable slides (20) each of which carries a number of concentric scales (21) graduated in calories for respective food or drink items in a related food group. To facilitate handling of the slides (20), the slides are rigid and rectangular, and the weighing instrument has a rectangular slot (24, 25, 26, 27) for receiving and holding the slides (20) under the force of their own weight. The pointer (18) is protected by being carried on a circular disc (23) and being covered by a viewing window (24) which also serves to define the rectangular slot for receiving the slides. The slides are conveniently arranged in a horizontal stack which may be indexed according to major food groups. The slides in the stack are readily identified by generic names imprinted on the top edge faces of the slides.
