Failure modes are empirically determined, and precursor data (930) is automatically analyzed to determine differentiable signatures for failure modes.

    摘要： A device for cyclically rearranging a pile of rectangular or square sheets, particularly a pile of photographic prints, comprises a first (12) and a second (14) frame parts movable with respect to each other in parallel to the main plane of the pile. Elements grab an individual sheet from one side of the pile and bring it to the other side of the pile during a reciprocating motion of the frame parts. Said elements comprise: (a) a separator device (20/266) to separate an individual sheet from the pile, (b) a feeding device (460) to feed sheets to the separator device, (c) holding devices (460/20) for holding the individual sheet in the first frame part and the remainder of the pile in the other frame part, and (d) a guiding device (386) to bring back the individual sheet to the other side of the remainder of the pile. The feeding and holding devices for the individual sheet are comprised of a drive member (460) which hooks the rear edge of the sheet to be separated, in the feed direction thereof. A pressure device (476) is provided on the pile side facing the drive member. The rearranging device may receive piles with a variable number of sheets. The pressure device for the sheet to be separated presses the sheet until the drive member gets into the separator device. The guiding device (490) comprises elements which enable the introduction of the individual sheet between the pressure device and the pile, when they are actuated by the motion of the frame parts.

    摘要： A container for a pile of square or rectangular photographic pictures of the same size comprises a casing (12) provided with a window (35) for visualizing the picture on top of the pile, and a sliding member (14) parallel to the window (35), susceptible of coming out of and getting into the casing (12) to receive the pile of pictures. The sliding member (14) has a grip (48) provided with a holding-down pad (38) for the pile, arranged opposite the pile so as to slide backwards towards the grip (48). The holding-down pad (48) is spring-pretensioned against the grip (48), and a stop (83) is formed in the casing (12) to stop the holding-down pad (38) in an intermediate position between its two extreme positions, wherein the holding-down pad (38) does not grip the edge of the pile.

    摘要： A device for cyclic modification of the distribution of a pile of sheets comprises a housing with a window, a drawer which can be slid in and out of the housing, and means for withdrawing a sheet from a pile placed in the housing and transferring it to the other side of the pile during each cyclic movement of the drawer. When the drawer is fully inserted in the housing, the pile is pressed against the window by a compression device which comprises rails supported on leaf springs. Functional elements such as anchorage extensions, sheet limit stops, locking catches, spacing ribs and forward feed teeth are molded on the rails.
