Es wird eine Einrichtung zur Optimierung des Drehzahlverhaltens eines Elektrokleinstmotors für zahnärztliche Zwecke vorgeschlagen, mit der es möglich ist, den Motor so zu betreiben, daß er in jedem gewünschten Drehzahlbereich optimal regelbar ist. Die Einrichtung enthält hierzu ein erstes Modul (5) zur Regelung der Drehzahl durch EMK-Messung, ein zweites Modul (4) zur Regelung der Drehzahl durch RI-Kompensation und Mittel (11, 12), welche in Abhängigkeit von vorgebbaren Drehzahldaten entscheiden, welches der beiden Module (4, 5) und mit welchen Anteilen die Drehzahlregelung des Motors übernimmt.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Drehzahlregelung von Gleichstrommotoren sowie die Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens. Es soll die Aufgabe gelöst werden, ohne aufwendige Mechanik ein drehzahlproportionales Signal zu erzeugen. Zur Lösung wird vorgeschlagen, daß der Motor (9) periodisch vom speisenden Netz getrennt wird, daß die in den Pausen entstehende, generatorisch erzeugte Spannung des Motors (9) als drehzahlproportionales Signalgemessen und bis zum Beginn des nächsten Meßzyklus gespeichert wird. Das drehzahlproportionale Signal wird dem Regelkreis als Ist-Wert zugeführt.

An obstruction detection apparatus (44) is provided for use in closing a power driven vent, such as a window, that is located in an opening. The vent includes a first closing edge that moves as the vent is closed and the opening includes a second closing edge that is contacted by the first closing edge when the vent is in a fully closed position. The apparatus includes a detector (52) configured to detect an obstruction at points all along the second closing edge without requiring contact between the obstruction and the vent and to deliver a detection signal when an obstruction is detected. A controller (46) is connected to the detector for receiving the detection signal and delivering a corresponding alarm signal (48).

A method of controlling a transportation velocity of a printhead carriage of a serial printer is disclosed. The printhead carriage is driven by a motor via a timing belt. Firstly, a characteristic equation, which includes a motor speed, a current applied to said motor, an equivalent disturbance indicating environmental variations affecting said motor speed, is discreted. Thereafter, the equivalent disturbance is estimated using the characteristic equation which has been discreted. A value of the equivalent disturbance, which cancels the equivalent disturbance, is determined. Subsequently, a value of the equivalent disturbance is calculated using a discrete low pass filter. Finally, a current to be applied to said motor is obtained by adding a compensating level of the controller to the level of said equivalent disturbance.

A motor control device carries out feedback control of a motor such that the rotational speed of the motor is equal to the command speed. A control voltage is first calculated as the sum of a first constant times the difference between the command speed and the actual rotational speed, a second constant times the actual rotational speed and a predetermined offset value. The calculated control voltage is corrected on the basis of the phase difference between the command speed and the actual rotational speed and a voltage after the correction is outputted as a motor control voltage. The rotational speed of the motor can be caused to rapidly follow the target speed by adjusting the first and second constants and the offset value whether the command speed is relatively low or high, thereby to make it possible to control the motor at a constant speed.
