A communication hole 3 ranging from the submicrometer to the submillimeter scale is formed between the fillers 1. The small holes 2 are distributed and arranged around the communication hole 3 so that the communication hole 3 is allowed to take in water W and nutrients K, N, and P from the outside and the small holes 2 are allowed to receive the nutrients K, N, and P from the communication hole 3. The fillers 1 are joined together into a three-dimensional network so that the total volume of the communication holes 3 is greater than the total volume of the small holes 2.

The invention further deals with a composite metal polybasic salt which has anion-exchanging property, which by itself is useful as an anion-exchanger, capable of introducing anions suited for the use upon anion-exchange, and finds a wide range of applications, and a method of preparing the same. The composite metal polybasic salt has a particular chemical composition and X-ray diffraction peaks, and further has a degree of orientation (Io) of not smaller than 1.5.

Die Erfindung betrifft Membranen zum Trennen, beseitigen und/oder Aufkonzentrieren. Die Aufgabe besteht darin, die Moleküle einfach und zuverlässig zu adsorbieren und die Desorption von an Membranen chromatographisch gebundenen, adsorbierten Zielmolekülen zu vereinfachen und möglichst ohne eine Zugabe von stark ionenhaltigen Stoffen wie Säuren, Laugen oder Salzen zu ermöglichen. Zusätzlich besteht eine Aufgabe darin, einen gut messbaren Wert zu entwickeln, der eine Angabe zur derzeitigen und/oder verbleibenden Bindungskapazität der Membran während des Adsorptionsprozesses und/oder dessen Steuerung erlaubt. Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, dass die Adsorption an einer geladenen Membran erfolgt und die Desorption durch physikalische, elektromagnetische und/oder durch eine Erzeugung von elektrischen Feldern erreicht wird. Dies wird insbesondere realisiert, indem eine dünne Metallschicht auf eine oder beide Seiten einer positiv oder negativ geladenen Membran aufgebracht wird und zur Desorption eine Spannung angelegt wird.

A process for treating a natural or wastewater containing dissolved Mg or dissolved Al comprising the steps of adding at least one Mg-containing compound or at least one Al-containing compound to the natural or wastewater to thereby form a layered double hydroxide (LDH) containing Mg and Al as predominant metal species in a lattice of the LDH. The LDH may comprise hydrotalcite. The AL-containing compound may be aluminate or aluminium hydroxide derived from the Bayer process or from an alumina refinery.
