In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a loader member configured to impart a loading force unto a work piece to position the work piece in a milling region. The apparatus can also include an effector configured to transfer the loading force from the loader member to the work piece and is configured further to apply a cleaning force to a path that the work piece traverses to the milling region. In some cases, the apparatus can include an ejector configured to remove a milled work piece from the milling region.

Duplicating milling-machine for three-dimensional objects. These may be ornaments, reliefs, lettering, etc. The machine consists of two horizontal tables (3, 5) which are mounted one above the other on a vertical column (1). On one of the tables, an original (20) is placed which can be reproduced by guiding a milling-machine (14) over a blank. A feeler (17), which is linked to the milling-machine (14) by means of a coordinator arm (4), controls a combination arm (7) which is mobile in all planes. This reproduces every single detail of the original (20) onto the blank, and the reproduction is full scale. All machine components are attached to the column (1) by means of split-bushings, which facilitates assembly and dismantling of the machine.

In one embodiment, an assembly for duplicating a master key includes an optical imaging device, a logic, a clamping assembly, and a cutting member. The optical imaging device is capable of capturing an optical image of at least a portion of the master key. The logic is capable of determining a key pattern of the master key from the optical image of the master key. The clamping assembly is capable of clamping a key blank and the cutting member is capable of cutting a key pattern into said key blank.

Many printed wiring boards are no longer manufactured because the manufacturer is no longer in business or the boards have become obsolete. A need exists to duplicate printed wiring boards which are no longer manufactured. Accordingly, a new method of cloning printed wiring boards includes the steps of removing (10) all components from the printed wiring boards, drilling and routing (12) component interconnection points on the printed wiring boards, milling (14) the opposite sides of the printed wiring boards to a minimum thickness, X-raying (16) the board to produce a film negative, photographing (18) the negative to provide a reversed negative and converting the reserved negative film to a diazo photograph.

A master key alignment module is movably disposed into and out of proximity with a master key clamping module, the master key being aligned by the alignment module within the master key clamping module. A master key identification module is disposed in fixed relation to the master key clamping module and identifies a type of key secured in the master key clamping module. A central positioning base is provided automatically movable into and out of engagement with the key cutting module and optionally the alignment module, adapted to move the master key alignment module into proximity with the master key clamping module and adapted to secure a key blank to be cut at the key cutting module in accordance with the tooth pattern of a clamped master key.
