摘要:
A die (1) for extrusion molding includes an extrusion port (1c) configured to extrude a plastic composition, and a plastic flow channel (111) configured to cause the supplied plastic composition to flow to the extrusion port. The plastic flow channel (111) includes a supply flow channel (111a), and an extrusion flow channel (111b). The supply flow channel (111a) is configured to be supplied with the plastic composition. The extrusion flow channel (111b) has an upstream end coupled to the supply flow channel, and downstream end having the extrusion port. In the extrusion flow channel, a flow channel cross-sectional area perpendicular to the flow direction of the plastic composition in the extrusion flow channel (111b) gradually changes to the extrusion port (1c), and an inner wall surface of a flow channel has a protruding surface protruding toward an inside of the flow channel in a cross section including an extrusion central axis (g) and parallel to the extrusion central axis (g).

A method for sequentially producing lap planks (1) from a continuous extruded member (35) of plastics material comprises forming a tongue (30) on a first end (2) of the lap plank (1) and a groove (32) on the opposite second end (3) of the lap plank (1), so that a plurality of the lap planks (1) can be joined in end-to-end abutting relationship with the tongue (30) of each lap plank engaged in the groove (35) of an adjacent lap plank (1). The tongue (30) of each lap plank (1) is formed by an indent (34) formed in a front surface (6) of the extruded member (35) to form one surface of the tongue (30), and the other surface of the tongue (30) is formed by machining material from the rear surface (5) of the extruded member (35) adjacent the indent (34). In the sequential production of the lap planks (1), the groove (35) is formed in an end (80) of the elongated member (35) from which the just formed lap plank (1) has been severed, and the tongue of that next to be formed lap plank (1) is then formed.

A multi-component synthetic closure and/or a rod-shaped intermediate product which incorporate printed indicia comprising ink that is invisible under normal lighting and/or temperature conditions and a continuous, in-line manufacturing process therefor are described. In the preferred embodiment of the present disclosure, the core member of the synthetic closure and/or the rod-shaped intermediate product can be formed by a continuous extrusion process which enables the core to be manufactured as an elongated, continuous length of material. As the continuous elongated length of extruded material forming the central core is advanced from the extruder towards an outer skin forming station, the central core passes through a printing station for forming any desired indicia among which can be a registration mark that can be invisible under normal lighting and/or temperature conditions on the outer surface of the central core prior to the application of the outer skin layer.

A method is provided for the control of an extrusion process, where the method is implemented by means of an extrusion device, where the extrusion device comprises an extrusion channel (420) with an extrusion die equipped to discharge an extruded composition from the extrusion device, where there is a controllable baffle (430, 431) arranged in the extrusion channel (420), and comprises a control unit, where the method comprises control of the extrusion process by means of adjustment of a value of at least one processing parameter of the extrusion process by means of control of an operating condition of the controllable baffle (430, 431). More particularly, the processing parameter here can influence a nucleation rate and/or a solution pressure, and/or a cell-growth rate.
