A new family of crystalline microporous metallophosphates designated AlPO-67 has been synthesized. These metallophosphates are represented by the empirical formula R + r M m 2+ EP x Si y O z where R is an organoammonium cation such as the ETMA + or DEDMA + , M is a framework metal alkaline earth or transition metal of valence 2+, and E is a trivalent framework element such as aluminum or gallium. The AlPO-67 compositions exhibit the LEV framework topology and have catalytic properties for carrying out various hydrocarbon conversion processes and separation properties for separating at least one component. The materials may be used as a catalytic composite for hydrocarbon conversions or may be used to separate at least one component from a mixture.

Provided is a process for cracking of high boiling petroleum feedstock and the catalyst therein and the preparation of the catalyst, said catalyst comprising (a) a FCC catalyst component and (b) an additive component, wherein each of said components independently contain zeolite (5-60wt%), clay (10-40wt%), binder (0-40wt%), alkaline earth metal (0.01-2.0wt%). The catalyst is used in cracking of hydrocarbon feedstock containing hydrocarbons of higher molecular weight and higher boiling point for producing lower yield of fuel gas without effecting the conversion and yield of general cracking products such as gasoline, propylene and C 4 olefins.
