    摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for preventing keystone distortion in a projected image. A projected image (750a) is produced by projecting light from a light source (102) through a deformed image (700a) rendered on a display device (110) of a projector (100) and onto a viewing surface (130) at a non-perpendicular angle. An original image (700) received for projection is deformed in proportion to the projection angle to generate the deformed image (700a), which is projected to yield the projected image (750a) having proportions closely matching the original image (700). The original image (700) may be resized for storage in memory and/or to fit within a specified area of the display device (110). The apparatus further comprises a digitizer module (206) for receiving the original image (700) and resizing it for storage and a generator module (208) for resizing the image to fit the display device (110). Deformation of the original image (700) may be performed in either or both of digitizer (206) and generator (208).

    摘要: An apparatus (10) for locking a focus position of a lens assembly without causing the lens cell (12) to tilt, comprising: a spacer (22) interposed between the lens cell (12) and the focus mount (14). The spacer (22) is received into a sleeve (16) that is integral with the focus mount (14). The sleeve (16) projects radially outward from the focus mount (14) such that the spacer (22) can be raised and lowered radially with respect to the focus mount (14). Moreover, the spacer (22) has two ridges that extend downward from a lower surface of the flange (26), each of which is received into a corresponding groove on the sleeve (16), thus, preventing the spacer (22) from rotating within the sleeve (16). The spacer (22) also has an upwardly raised rim (30) extending from an upper surface of the flange (26). The rim (30) is slidably secured into a slot of the focus mount (14), which prevents lateral movement of the spacer (22). Further, a bolt (34) is coupled to an opening (28) within the spacer (22), such that one end of the bolt (34) is disposed and secured within the spacer (22) and the other end of the bolt (34) extends radially outward through the slot of the focus mount (14).

    摘要: An electron beam tends to slope downwardly as it is deflected horizontally to form a raster in a video display apparatus. The sloping of the beam can cause geometric errors in the raster, for example orthogonality and parallelogram errors. A raster correction circuit (100) substantially offsets the downward slope of the electron beam by modulating a vertical deflection current (I V ) with an induced horizontal-rate raster correction current (I CORR ), thereby substantially eliminating orthogonality and parallelogram errors in the raster. In respective embodiments of an inventive arrangement taught herein, the horizontal-rate raster correction current (I CORR ) is induced in the vertical deflection coils (L V1 , L V2 ) by magnetically coupling a filament pulse waveform (11), a horizontal deflection voltage waveform, or a horizontal deflection current into the vertical deflection coils (L V1 , L V2 ).
