    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain an excellent water-repellent film by using a compsn. contg. a compd. represented by a specific formula as an essential ingredient. CONSTITUTION: This compsn., which forms a water-repellent film, contains as an essential ingredient a compd. represented by formula II [wherein Rf is an org. group having a perfluoro group; R is H or a 1-16C org. group; (a) is 1 or 2; and (b) is 0 or 1 provided 1 and Rf are each an org. group having a perfluoro group; R and R are each H or a 1-16C org. group; (c), (d), (e), and (g) are each 0, 1, or 2 provided 0 and R are each H or a 1-16C org. group). A water-repellent film is formed by diluting the compsn. with a solvent to a concn. of about 0.1-30wt.% and applying the resultant water repellent by spraying, etc., followed by drying. The thermal treating of the film at about 50-500 deg.C enhances the effects.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition capable of imparting an article with excellent soil-proofness, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance and weather resistance by treating it at an ordinary temperature and useful for glass, etc., by compounding a compound capable of forming a coated film having a contact angle larger than a specified value to water.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a surface treating agent useful for providing a base having excellent stain resistance, water repellency, chemical resistance, wear resistance and weather resistance, capable of treating the surface of a base at normal temperature, containing a specific silicone compound. CONSTITUTION:Substrates subjected to surface treatment with an isocyanate compound or articles for building and building decoration comprising the treated substrates as an constituent element. Glass having excellent required transparency is suitable as the substrates and window glass and mirrors are cited as the articles for building and building decoration.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To gift the molding with reflection preventive property and electrostatic preventive property and enhance antifouling property and chemical resistance by adjusting the refractive index and film thickness of two layers and taking an advantage of optical interference in order to provide a layer having conductivity, and further making a low refractive index layer contain fluorine compound. CONSTITUTION:From the surface of a molding molded from a transparent base material to the side of air, there are provided two layers of a high refractive index conductive layer A of being 10 (OMEGA/square) or less in its surface resistance value and low refractive index layer B containing fluorine compound being 0.1 or more in its refractive index difference with the refractive index of this layer. As a transparent base material, glasses or plastics are used. Although for a conductive material for forming the high refractive index conductive layer A, conductive resin, inorganic fine particles and the like are employed, for example, tin oxide, zinc oxide, indium oxide or the like are given, and at least a kind of these materials is used. The low refractive index material of the other low refractive index layer B is selected from a material containing fluorine compound which is excellent in a water repellent and oil repellent property.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the transparent molding having antireflection and antistatic properties and scratching resistance by providing two layers; a specific conductive layer consisting of inorg. fine particles and a high-refractive index layer on an air side on the surface of the molding. CONSTITUTION:The two layers; the conductive layer consisting of the inorg. fine particles and having (OMEGA/square) surface resistance value and the high- refractive index layer having >=0.1 refractive index difference from the refractive index of the conductive layer are provided on the air side on the surface of the molding formed of a transparent base material. The interference effect of light is utilized by adjusting the refractive indices and film thickness of the two layers; the conductive layer and the high-refractive index layer in this case; in addition, the layer contg. a material having an electrical conductivity is provided. The low reflectiveness is obtd. in this way and the electrical conductivity is obtd. as well. Since the fine particles of the metal oxide are used as the conductive material, the surface scratching resistance and durability are obtd.
