The features include raised cushion members 106 on the upper surface and/or skins on support member cores downwardly depending from the tile lower surface. The cushion members on the upper surface are injection-molded from the lower surface through through-holes. Lateral edges of the tile are provided with latches which fit into loops with an interference. The loops flex in order to impose a compressive force on mating tile edges. The tile includes an overmolded peripheral seal.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit to use recycled pre- and post- consumer polymer up to 100% to manufacture foamed polymer material and thermoformed foamed polymer articles. SOLUTION: A solid-state foaming method 118 achieves the optional formation of integral unfoamed skin layer with controllable depth and crystallinity on foamed polymeric materials suitable for a wide variety of applications. Because the method does not alter the essential chemical properties of the material, all scrap 126 from manufacturing steps are reused without using additives to form new foamed polymeric materials 116 and articles 124.
