PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product of amines with hydroxy acid as friction modifiers suitable for automatic transmission fluids.SOLUTION: Compositions comprises: an oil of lubricating viscosity; an amide represented by the formula RRN-C(O)R(wherein Rand Rare hydrocarbyl groups of at least 6 carbon atoms and Ris a hydroxyalkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a group formed by the condensation of the hydroxyalkyl group, through a hydroxyl group thereof, with an acylating agent); a nitrogen-containing dispersant; and a phosphorus-containing compound. The compositions are suitable for lubricating a transmission.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for a sliding member, which is excellent in friction/wear characteristics even under many different use conditions including drying friction conditions, conditions in oil, oil lubrication conditions, and the like and a sliding member produced using the composition. SOLUTION: The resin composition for a sliding member comprises 5-40 wt.% barium sulfate, 1-30 wt.% phosphate, 1-10 wt.% one, two, or more types of resins selected from a polyimide resin, a baked phenolic resin, and a polyphenylene sulfone resin, and a tetrafluoroethylene resin composing the remainder. The sliding member is formed by filling the pores of and coating the surface of a sintered porous metal layer formed on steel back metal with the above resin composition. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chromium-free surface treated steel sheet excellent in corrosion resistance in a flat plate or after processing, even if subjected to alkaline decreasing by a user or exposed in a corrosive environment for long periods of time.SOLUTION: In a chromium-free surface treated steel sheet, on the surface of a galvanized steel sheet or an aluminum plated steel sheet, a surface treatment film is formed from a surface treatment composition obtained by compositely adding an organic phosphoric acid compound and an inorganic phosphoric acid compound at a prescribed ratio to a titanium-based aqueous liquid obtained by mixing a specific titanium compound with a hydrogen peroxide solution. The chromium-free surface treated steel sheet further has, on an upper layer of the surface treatment film, an upper layer film formed by coating and drying a coating material composition including a specified high molecular weight epoxy group-containing resin, a hardener having a group crosslinked with a hydroxyl group, a non-chromium based rust preventive additive and a solid lubricant containing a crystalline layered double hydroxide represented as [MM(OH)][A]-zHO.
