Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid occurrence of short-circuit fault due to a busbar exposed to a broken portion of a fuse housing when a breakage occurs in the fuse housing of the fuse unit directly attached to a battery. SOLUTION: A notch 21 to induce the breakage is disposed along a unit transverse position P in the fuse housing 9 so that when a predetermined shearing load or above is exerted on the fuse unit 1 wired directly to the battery, the fuse housing 9 is broken at the unit transverse position P at which the cross-sectional area of the busbar 7 becomes a predetermined small area or below. Therefore, the busbar 7 exposed to the broken portion of the fuse housing 9 is limited to the small area. This reduces the probability that the busbar 7 contacts the surrounding vehicle body, thereby avoiding the occurrence of short-circuit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
