    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection cap which maintains a protection state of a battery post and a battery terminal covered with the protection cap, and can prevent the occurrence of a short circuit accident, even when a fuse unit is fractured and falls off from a battery. SOLUTION: A terminal engagement part which engages with a battery terminal is installed on a first cap part 3 to cover the battery terminal and a battery post on the upper wall of the battery and an emergency opening wall part 7 which opens the wall part covering the outer circumference of a fuse unit so as to release the fractured fuse unit piece, when the fuse unit is fractured, is installed on a second cap part 5 covering the fuse unit. Thereby, even when the fractured fuse unit piece falls off from the battery, the battery post and the battery terminal can be maintained in a state covered with the protection cap 1.
