    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the accurate air-fuel ratio at all times, in a control device of an air volume advance fuel supply quantity follow-up control type internal combustion engine comprising an electronic control throttle valve device. SOLUTION: A control device of an internal combustion engine memorizes the responding characteristics of a throttle valve, operates a target value of the throttle valve opening corresponding to an operating position of an accelerator pedal, operates the inlet valve closing time of a fuel injection cylinder corresponding to an operating condition of the engine, operates the time necessary for the throttle valve opening to reach the target value on the basis of the target value of the throttle valve opening, and the memorized value of the responding characteristics of the throttle valve, operates the throttle valve opening in the inlet valve closing time on the basis of the operated target value achieving time of the throttle valve, and the inlet valve closing time of the fuel injection cylinder, and operates the fuel supply amount to obtain the target air-fuel ratio, on the basis of the intake air quantity corresponding to the throttle valve opening at the inlet valve closing time, and the target air-fuel ratio, to supply the fuel of the operated fuel supply amount.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a purge execution by forcedly generating a negative pressure even in the driving state that the negative pressure is not generated in an intake passage. SOLUTION: When a normal purge is not executed, an engine torque TRQA corresponding to a target air-fuel ratio A/FA in a present driving state and an estimate engine torque TRQB corresponding to a rich air-fuel ratio A/FB are retrieved by a first data map representing characteristics of an engine torque to the air-fuel ratio, and an opening θB of a throttle valve 22 corresponding to an engine torque TRQB, lower than the engine torque TRQA by a difference ΔA/FBA (=A/FB-A/FA) is retrieved by a second data map representing characteristics of engine speed to engine torque when the opening acts as a parameter. At a purge executing state, the target air-fuel ratio is set to A/FB and the opening of the throttle valve 22 is decreased to the opening θB, whereby a negative pressure is forcedly generated downstream of the throttle valve 22. With the negative pressure, a purge gas of the canister 34 is sucked to purge to a surge tank 6 side.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the accurate concentration by calculating smoke stuck amount newly stuck to an optical smoke sensor based on the present operating state, integrating it, correcting the output of the sensor based on the integrated stuck amount, and deciding the present smoke concentration. SOLUTION: The output V1 of a light receiving element 52 is read by a smoke sensor 10, the number of revolution NE of an engine is detected by a rotary sensor 81, the cooling water temperature THW is detected by a water temperature sensor 82, and the pedal depressed amount L is read by an accelerator pedal stroke sensor 83. The first stuck coefficient K1 is decided by the temperature THW. The second stuck coefficient K2 is decided from the number NE. The smoke generation amount S of exhaust gas is decided based on the temperature THW and the amount L. The sum (K1+K2) of the coefficients is multiplied by the amount S, the stuck amount (m) is calculated, the previous amount is added to obtain the stuck amount M. Then, the output V1 of the light receiving element 52 of the sensor 10 is corrected, and the concentration is decided by the ratio of the output V1 with the output V0 of a light emitting device 50.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To more accurately control an air-fuel ratio by reflecting an accurate estimate of the opening of a throttle valve on the control of fuel injection when injecting fuel. CONSTITUTION: When a throttle ECU 11 accepts the demand of a change in throttle valve opening from an accelerator opening sensor or other throttles ECU 14 to 16, an engine ECU 12 calculates the time from the current time point to the next fuel injection. Based on the time, the engine ECU 12 carries out calculation to estimate how much the opening of a throttle valve 4 will have changed at the time of the next fuel injection by controlling the throttle ECU 11. The engine ECU 12 carries out calculation to reflect the estimated throttle valve opening, which were determined, on the volume of the next fuel injection. If it is impossible to carry out the calculation of the estimate of the opening of the throttle valve and the calculation of fuel injection amount, the present throttle valve opening is held unchanged until the next fuel injection.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an alcohol concentration sensor in which the measurement error, caused by ionic impurities in a mixed fuel, can be compensated for. CONSTITUTION:Output from a logical oscillator is grounded through a compensation capacitor 417 and also delivered to an outer electrode. A detection capacitor 421 comprising the outer electrode and a central electrode is discharged through a discharge resistor 422 and a fourth inverter 424 delivers a pulse train having a duty ratio proportional to the time elapsed before the discharge voltage drops below a predetermined threshold level. The pulse train is filtered and the collector current of a transistor 433 is controlled thus obtaining a voltage signal proportional to the alcohol concentration. Since the leak current of 417 is proportional to the impurity concentration, the applying voltage of the 421 is decreased in proportion to the impurity concentration thus compensating for the measurement error.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To embody a high-reliable one-valve type total range constantly drive control system by coupling an opening/closing control mechanism to one end part of a throttle shaft and regulating the opening of a throttle valve to a specified state before and after completion of the starting of an engine and during shunt-running. CONSTITUTION:A throttle control device 10 is formed in such a way that a motor 40 is run by an accelerator operating mechanism 30 and rotation of the motor 40 is transmitted to a throttle shaft 3 through a transmission mechanism 20. Displacement of the accelerator operating mechanism 30 is transmitted through a throttle shaft 3 through a link mechanism 6. Further, the throttle shaft 3 is selectively coupled to either the transmission mechanism 20 or the link mechanism 6 by means of a clutch 50. The clutch 50 is shifted and controlled by means of an electronic control device 60. In this case, an opening closing control mechanism 70 is coupled to one end part of the throttle shaft 3. This constitution caused regulation of the opening of a throttle valve 2 to a specified state before and after completion of the starting of an engine and during shunt-running.
