Abstract:
The present invention describes a motor designed for biodiesel compatibility comprising a particulate filter, a motor control unit being able to inject fuel to the engine in order to increase the exhaust temperature, and a lubricant composition, characterized in that the lubricant composition comprises at least one ester group containing polymer.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in which a lubricating oil is early deteriorated when a biodiesel fuel or its unburned content is mixed into the lubricating oil by mixing the biodieasel fuel with light oil in a diesel engine. SOLUTION: A lubricating oil composition for diesel engine corresponding to a biofuel is prepared by adding different type antioxidants of a phenol-based antioxidant and an amine-based antioxidant to a lubricating oil composition of diesel engine for automobiles, and the lubricating oil composition comprises 0.5-5 mass% phenol-based antioxidant and 0.5-5 mass% amine-based antioxidant, wherein total amount of both antioxidants is ≥2 mass%. Aggravation of cleaning performance of a lubricating oil is effectively prevented and deterioration of the lubricating oil can be suppressed thereby even when a biodiesel fuel is used in a state mixed into a fuel. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil composition with improved anti-corrosion properties in respect of the metallic engine components, particularly the ferrous containing metallic engine components (e.g. crankshaft components), during operation of the engine with a biofuel.SOLUTION: A minor amount of an oil-soluble or oil-dispersible additive component (B), as defined in this specification, is used in the lubrication of a spark-ignited or compression-ignited internal combustion engine, fuelled with a biofuel, in combination with a minor amount of an oil-soluble or oil-dispersible additive component (C), as defined in this specification, in the lubricating oil composition, to reduce and/or inhibit the corrosion of the metallic engine components, wherein the lubricating oil composition becomes contaminated with the biofuel during operation of the engine.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil composition for an internal combustion engine that has excellent abrasion resistance and fuel economy and is capable of preventing corrosion and rust of an internal combustion engine by dispersing condensed water and the like from steam produced by fuel combustion or the like, into oil.SOLUTION: Such a lubricating oil composition for an internal combustion engine contains: a base oil mixture obtained by mixing at least 2 types of base oil whose API (American Petroleum Institute) base oil category are different from each other, and further the sulfur content thereof is 0.14 to 0.7 mass%, %CA thereof according to ASTM D3238 is 0.9 to 5.0, and %CP thereof according to ASTM D3238 is 60 or more (A); and a monoglyceride (glycerin fatty acid ester having a fatty acid ester-bonded to one of three hydroxyl groups of glycerin) having a hydrocarbon group of 8 to 22 carbon atoms and characterized in that a hydroxyl value is 150 to 300 mgKOH/g (B) by 0.3 to 2.0 mass% based on the total weight of the composition.
Abstract:
A lubricating oil composition used in an internal combustion engine is provided. The internal combusting engine uses a fuel that contains at least one fat and oil selected from a group consisting of natural fat and oil, hydrotreated natural fat and oil, transesterified natural fat, and oil and hydrotreated transesterified natural fat and oil. The lubricating oil composition includes: base oil of lubricating oil; a component (A) containing a boron derivative of an alkyl or alkenyl-substituted succinimide compound having a number average molecular weight of 200 to 5000; and a component (B) containing an alkaline earth metal-based detergent. The component (A) is contained by 0.01 to 0.2 mass% in terms of boron of a total amount of the composition while the component (B) is contained by 0.35 mass% or less in terms of the alkaline earth metal of the total amount of the composition.
