Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which enables an underwater structure to sufficiently exhibit a photocatalytic function, even if the underwater structure is placed in water, and prevents organisms from clinging to the underwater structure in water under natural light.
SOLUTION: An underwater structure is provided, which includes a visible-light response type photocatalyst and a structure which keeps the visible-light response type photocatalyst held on the surface. In addition, a method for preventing organisms from clinging to a structure is provided as well as the method for preventing organisms from clinging to a structure in water under natural light by using the visible-light response type photocatalyst.
