Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet ink for printing on an eggshell in which the printing density is high without requiring purification, etc., of raw materials and without causing elution of a color and permeation of the color into albumen during production of a boiled egg. SOLUTION: An ink composition is characterized as consisting essentially of (a) an oil-soluble dye which is a food additive, (b) water and/or (c) a water-soluble solvent that is a food additive and (d) an emulsifying agent which is a food additive. The ink composition can be used to carry out printing on an eggshell in which the printing density is high with slight bleeding without decoloration under boiling condition by using the ink composition. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive ink-jet ink for printing on an eggshell in which alternatives of colors are wide and the printing density is high with slight bleeding without requiring purification, etc., of raw materials. SOLUTION: An ink composition is characterized as consisting essentially of (a) a water-soluble dye which is a food additive, (b) water, (c) a water-insoluble solvent that is a food additive and (d) an emulsifying agent which is a food additive. The ink-jet ink is characterized in that the ink composition is prepared for ink-jet printing and all the constituent components belong to any of the water, food additive and food. A method for printing on the eggshell is characterized as printing with the ink-jet ink according to an ink-jet method. Furthermore, an egg is printed by the method for printing. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new specific dispersing agent which is a substance that is neither a surfactant nor a water-soluble polymer conventionally well-known for dispersing a pigment in an aqueous dispersion medium without substantially disturbing color tone of the pigment and to provide an aqueous pigment liquid composition having excellent dispersion stability, usability as ink or a coating and water resistance of finished products. SOLUTION: The aqueous pigment liquid composition consists essentially of three of (1) a pigment selected from the group consisting of carbon black and an organic pigment, (2) the aqueous dispersion medium and (3) one or more kinds of dispersing agents selected from the group of N-(sulfoxyphenyl)-3-hydroxy-2-naphthalenecarboxamides having a specific substituent. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous pigment-based jet ink composition excellent in both pigment dispersion stability and ink jet stability, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The jet ink composition essentially comprises a pigment polymerization-coated with a vinyl monomer giving an acrylic resin-based homo- or copolymer, a surfactant, a moisturizer as a polyhydric alcohol or its derivative, and water. Owing to selecting the coating resin composition and coating method constituting the key technology, the fine pigment particles can be stably dispersed over a long period in the aqueous medium containing the moisturizer using an ordinary surfactant rather than a resin dispersant, that is, owing to selecting the ink composition, both of good pigment dispersion and long-term ink jet stability can be secured and realized. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain new synthetic polymer-base fine particles and to provide spacers for an electro-optic panel capable of preventing transmission of light in dark portions of a liquid crystal display panel by using the fine particles. SOLUTION: The spacers for an electro-optic panel interposed between at least one pair of transparent electrode substrates to keep a prescribed interval between the substrates are synthetic resin-base fine particles obtained by polymerizing a monomer, in which a manganese oxide-base black pigment is contained and have an average particle diameter of 1-20 μm and a coefficient of variation of ≤10% in particle size distribution.
