    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an energy loss at high speed cruising without impairing gradeability, in a hybrid driving device conducting power circulation for obtaining a specified rotational frequency and torque at high speed cruising. SOLUTION: A first power transmitting device 20 transmitting power from an engine 12 to a counter shaft 30 through a power dividing system 16, and a second power transmitting device 22 transmitting power from a second motor generator 18 to the counter shaft 30 are separately provided. By suitably setting the transmission ratio of the first and second transmitting devices 20, 30, an energy loss at high speed cruising is reduced without impairing gradeability.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately control the motor operation by identifying an error of voltage value estimated on the basis of the detected voltage value and current value, and then impressing the predetermined voltage to a coil depending on the motor operating condition through reflection of the identified error. SOLUTION: A motor control device 10 once estimates a voltage value of power supply to a certain value. On the basis of the estimated voltage value, a voltage application control part 204 impresses the voltage for detection. If there is an error between the estimated voltage value and the true value, a voltage for detection of the voltage value that is different from the preset value is impressed. An error of the voltage for detection impressed can be detected with a current flowing into a coil depending on the voltage. Therefore, a voltage compensating part 206 can identify an error of the estimated value of the power supply voltage based on such error. As explained above, the voltage application control part 204 can apply the adequate voltage to the coil by reflecting the identified error.

SOLUTION: DC power from a battery 10 is fed through a smoothing circuit 12 to an IGBT module 14 where it is converted into a specific AC current. The smoothing circuit 12 comprises three smoothing capacitors C1, C2 and C3 connected in parallel and the capacitance thereof is set depending on the impedance Z of an current passage up to the IGBT module 14 to satisfy a relation; C1:C2:C3=Z(Lc3):Z(Lc2):Z(Lc1). Since thermal stress is balanced among the capacitors C1, C2 and C3, generation of heat is not concentrated to any particular capacitor and breakdown or deterioration thereof can be avoided.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the constant control period of a control signal and the constant phase relationship with the PWM carrier signal when the carrier frequency is switched in the PWM carrier signal generating system, and particularly when a plurality of PWM carrier signal generating systems are used for control of a motor having a plurality of shafts. SOLUTION: A PWM carrier original signal generating means 50 outputs each bit of the counted value based on the internal clock as the basic carrier signal with a parallel signal line. The frequency converters 62 to 70 provided to each carrier signal generating means 52 to 58 and an interruption control signal generating means 60 extract the partial stream of bit stream of the basic carrier signal, and generate the signal in the frequency 2n times the frequency of the basic carrier signal. Thereafter, phase shift is performed by phase shifters 74 to 80 as required. Based on the saw-tooth wave in this step, the PWM carrier signal and control signal of symmetrical triangular wave are generated.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor which can maintain an reverse salient pole property, even at a maximum current application. SOLUTION: The sides of poles 18 of a stator 12 which are parallel with a motor shaft are C-chamfered. One pole 22 of a rotor 14 is formed of two permanent magnets 20 which are arranged into a V-shape. A pole gap 26 is provided between the two permanent magnets 20 arranged into a V-shade. In each salient pole 24 between the poles 22 of the rotor, a salient pole gap 28, whose width is approximately equal to the width of the salient pole, is provided near the circumference of the rotor. With this constitution, an inverse salient pole property, i.e., a q-axis inductance Lq larger than a d-axis inductance Ld, can be realized over the entire range from zero current to the maximum current and as a result, the rotating angle of the rotor can be detected in accordance with an inductance change.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate setting of a delicate voltage pulse, by calculating an electric angle in a section of the angle of a specific range based on behavior of a current flowing in response to an applied voltage, and specifying the section to which the angle is belonged based on behavior of the change rate of the detected current. SOLUTION: In the case of detection an electric angle, a CPU 120 first outputs a control signal to a voltage apply unit 130, and detects the angle in a section of 0 to π or π to 2π. Then, a voltage is applied in a forward direction, and a current rise time of abruptly rising the current is measured. And, the CPU 120 also measures the current rise time in the case of applying the voltage in a reverse direction. Both voltage and current are compared in amplitude relationship, and to which sections 0 to π or π to 2π, the angle belongs is decided. According to the polarity decision, magnetic saturation can be generated by continuous application of a low voltage, and hence a delicate regulation of a voltage pulse to be applied to a coil winding is not required.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the breakages of the insulation of a lead wire for a coils, which occurs at the brim of the slot of the stator core of a motor. SOLUTION: End plates 18 are arranged at both ends of a stator core 10, which is made by stacking magnetic steel plates 12. The shape of the end plate 18 as viewed in the axial direction of the motor is the same as that of the magnetic steel plate 12. The face of the extension 18a of the end plate 18 continues smoothly from the internal surface 16a of a slot 16 and further connects with the curved surface 18b of the corner. The curved surface 18b of the corner smoothly connects the face 18a of the extension with an end face 18c of the end plate 18. As a result, the sharp edge can be removed from the brim section of the slot 16, and the breakage in the insulation of a cover lead wire 22 for a coil caused by the edge can be prevented.
