SOLUTION: In an image memory 10A for processing, the address of each picture element is set by means of a fixed orthogonal coordinate system with a fixed direction used as a reference. In an image memory 10B for display, a hypothetical image memory is set having a picture element constitution similar to that of the image memory 10A to divide the whole domain of the image memory by means of a picture element block comprising a prescribed number of two-dimensionally arrayed picture elements, and a group of picture element data of the element block are arrayed in one line to allow them to be read out at a high speed and stored. A read-out address is set based on a display mode, own ship position data, and bow direction data. This allows quick and accurate image displaying to be executed by a simple structure, without being affected by the moving and turning round state of the own ship, the display mode, or motion setting, and without performing complicated processing. A fixed graphic 3 is displayed next to the sweep 2.
