Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which prevents deterioration of potential stability due to repeated use associated with photodegradation, with respect to an electrophotographic image of a high-density electrostatic latent image formed on an electrophotographic photoreceptor by exposure with short-wavelength laser light or the like, and which is excellent in memory resistance even in a process in which high transfer performance is required, an image forming method using the electrophotographic photoreceptor, an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor, a charge generating layer includes a titanyl phthalocyanine pigment having a crystal structure exhibiting the following diffraction peaks of Bragg angles 2θ (±0.2°) for a characteristic X-ray of a CuKα radiation (having a wavelength of 1.542 Å): at least a largest diffraction peak at 27.2°, major diffraction peaks at 9.4°, 9.6° and 24.0°, and a diffraction peak of a lowest angle at 7.3°, while exhibiting no peak between the peaks of 7.3° and 9.4° and no peak at 26.3°. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photosensitive member capable of outputting an image in which a defect such as a ghost is suppressed even in a high-temperature-and-high-humidity environment, and in which a defect such as a change in density due to an abrupt change in light-area potential at an initial state or a ghost due to long-term durable use is suppressed even in a low-humidity environment; and a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus each having the electrophotographic photosensitive member. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photosensitive member has a support, a charge-generating layer comprising a charge-generating material disposed on the support, and a charge-transport layer comprising a charge-transport material disposed on the charge-generating layer, wherein the electrophotographic photosensitive member has a layer comprising a compound having a structure represented by formula (2) between the support and the charge-generating layer. In the formula (2), Ar1 and Ar2 each independently denote a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; X2 denotes a vinylene group or a p-phenylene group; and n denotes 0 or 1. Abstract:
An electrophotographic photosensitive member capable of outputting an image in which a defect such as a ghost is suppressed even in a high-temperature-and-high-humidity environment, and in which a defect such as a change in density due to an abrupt change in light-area potential at an initial stage or a ghost due to long-term durable use is suppressed even in a low-humidity environment; and a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus each having the electrophotographic photosensitive member; are provided. The electrophotographic photosensitive member has a layer which comrises a compound having a specific structure between a support and a charge-generating layer.
