SOLUTION: This thermal spraying method comprises setting the tubular substrate 45 so as not to be rotated; setting a thermal spraying device 50 in the tubular substrate 45, which has a material feeding part 10 for feeding a thermal spraying material, and a melting/carrying part 25 for melting the thermal spraying material into spraying particles through radially jetting plasma flame and for carrying them in a radiation direction; and forming a spray coating 47 on the inner surface 46 of the tubular substrate 45, by moving the thermal spraying device 50 which is kept not to rotate, along an axis, in the tubular substrate 45.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-pack type surface coating material capable of giving good abrasion resistance, durability, decorativeness, weatherability, chemical resistance, inflammability, and adhesiveness to surfaces of concrete structures, steel, and wood. SOLUTION: This one-pack type surface coating material comprises a base containing lithium silicate and sodium silicate aqueous solution in a high concentration, wherein an unreactive inert filler and a coloring pigment is added to the base. The coating material is applied to the surface to be treated, then dried into a state of 'dry to touch' (specified in JIS K 5400), and further thermally treated with direct fire of a gas burner in a short time. The decorative anti-abrasive surface coating material of the one-pack type is preferably formed by preparing the base of lithium silicate and sodium silicate aqueous solution which comprises 50-90 pts.wt. of a lithium silicate solution having a mol ratio of silicon dioxide to lithium oxide of 3.5 and a specific gravity of 1.20, 10-30 pts.wt. of sodium silicate aqueous solution of grade No.3 (according to JIS K 1408), and 0-20 pts.wt. of water, and then adding 0-20 pts.wt. of an acrylic-styrene copolymer emulsion as a binder for the filler to 100 pts.wt. of the above mixture. Powdered aluminum oxide or powdered quartz is preferably used as the inert filler.

The body 2 fed into a furnace from the inlet 2 thereof is passed through a heat-up zone 13 and, during the passage through of this zone, a coated electrodeposition coating film is cured and, at this time, the uncured electrodeposition soln. bonded to the surface of the body 2 is allowed to flow down along the surface of the body 2 under gravity to be collected to the rear edge 21a of a side door 21 by going along the lower end of the side door 21 by the inclination of the body itself due to an inclined zone 13.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To firmly apply a sealing material to any constructed body, especially, even if its resin-coated surface is hardly bonded like a fluororesin-coated one, by applying the sealing material directly to the constructed body after flame treatment thereof. SOLUTION: When a sealing metal is applied to a constructed surface of a constructed body such as a building for giving watertight and airtight characteristics thereto, the sealing material is applied to the constructed surface of the constructed body directly or through a primer after flame treatment. As for the flame treatment, a method in which methane, ethane, propane, butane, or the like is used as a combustion gas is desirable. As for the sealing material, for example, a silicone series, a modified silicone series, a polysulfide series, a polyurethane series, etc., are used. And as for the primer, a material which can improve an adhesive property between the sealing material and the constructed surface is used, for example, a silane coupling agent, a polyisocyanate, an epoxy resin, etc., are enumerated.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the peeling of a coating agent and the paper washing of a solvent and to cure the coating agent in a short period of time by directly heating once the entire outer peripheral surface of a steel pipe to a specific temp. or above, then applying the coating agent on the steel pipe where the outer peripheral surface temp. is at a specific temp. range during transportation. SOLUTION: The entire outer peripheral surface of the steel pipe 2 transported in an axial direction at a speed of, for example, 60 to 90 m/min on a roller table 1 is directly heated by the burner flames of ring burners 3 until a temp. above 100 deg.C is once attained. The outer peripheral surface temp. of the once heated steel pipe 2 falls in the process that the steel pipe is transported on the roller table 1, where the outer peripheral surface temp. attains 50 to 70 deg.C, then the coating agent 5 is sprayed to the steel pipe from a coating agent spraying device 4 installed downstream of the ring burners 3. As a result, the factors to adversely influence the coating, such as moisture and dust, are removed by the burner flames and the peeling of the coating agent 5 is eliminated. The drying time of the coating agent 5 is thus shortened.

Next, the bumper 2 is turned about at 90 deg. with a rotary shaft 13 as a center and moved upwards and sideways and in the state of turning the flame burner 30 downwards while keeping the distance L between the flame burner 30 and a 1st surface 5, the fine burner is linearly moved at fixed speed in the front/rear direction. Further, the flame burner 30 is linearly moved at fixed speed in the front/rear direction while keeping the distance L between the flame burner 30 and a 3rd face 7 after the bumper 2 is turned around the rotary shaft 13 just at a required angle and moved upwards and sideways.

Abstract: Sheet material is given low oxygen permeability or prepared for winding high voltage capacitors by evaporating polyfunctional acrylate monomer having a molecular rate in the range of from 150 to 600 and condensing the acrylate as a monomer film on a dielectric or thermoplastic substrate. The acrylate is polymerized by irradiation by ultraviolet or electrons. A metallized layer provides an electrode of a capacitor. Electrical contact can be made to the metal layer by Schooping even though the metallized layer is covered by a layer of acrylate. A material selected from the group consisting of silicon oxide, silicon nitride, aluminum nitride, titanium nitride, aluminum oxide and metal may be deposited for forming an oxygen barrier. Adhesion is enhanced by plasma treatment of a surface immediately before deposition. Condensation efficiency is also enhanced by chilling the substrate on which the acrylate is condensed.

CONSTITUTION: The liquid saturant 12 is first delivered from a feed supply roll 14 and is passed through a nip 16 of an S roll mechanism 18 within an inverted S-shaped passage when a continuous method 10 of uniformly applying the liquid saturant without compression to the permeable sheet 12 over the entire part thereof is performed. The permeable sheet 12 is then supplied to a means 20 for continuously progressing the sheet during the time of a liquid saturant treating state. In succession, the permeable sheet 12 is passed through a means 22 for applying the curtain flowing in a laminar form of the liquid saturant. This means 22 comprises a liquid dispensing element 24. A means 26 for applying the vacuum to the permeable sheet 12 is disposed near the liquid dispensing element 24. This means 26 comprises a vacuum element 28. The permeable sheet 28 is thereafter progressed to a drying stage.

CONSTITUTION:While an outside polyolefine-coated square steel pipe pile 9 having an outer-most layer of polyolefine containing 0.05-5.0wt.% antioxidant is rotated and transfered by a roller conveyer 8 which is moved and rotated, flame treatment is carried out using a burner to give >=36dyn/cm surface tension of the outer-most surface and then an urethane primer or a modified polyolefine primer 6 is applied to the outer surface and coloring paint 7 such as various kinds of fluoro-based, acrylic-silicone-based, acrylic-urethane-based acrylic- urethane-based coating materials, etc., is applied to give a corrosion-resistant multilayer-coated square steel pipe pile. The layers 2, 3, and 4 are a chromate- treated layer, an epoxy primer layer, and a modified polyolefine adhesive layer, respectively.
