Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly restrain an occupant in a front passenger seat with an airbag, even when the occupant is very close to an instrument panel. SOLUTION: A front side airbag door 12 and a rear side air bag door 14 are divided and formed in the instrument panel 24 by a pair of vertical breaking scheduled parts 26 and a lateral breaking scheduled part 28 connecting a vehicle front and rear directional intermediate part in the pair of vertical breaking scheduled parts 26. An inner bag 22 is provided in the inner side of the airbag 18. The inner bag 22 is expanded by a gas blown from an inflator 20 and the gas is supplied to the airbag 18 to expand the air bag 18. The inner bag 22 controls the form of the airbag 18 so that the airbag 18 is changed to an expansion mid-term form to open the front side air bag door 12 from an expansion initial-term form to break the pair of the vertical breaking scheduled parts 26 by the expansion pressure of the airbag 18 when the airbag 18 is expanded. Abstract: An air bag door is developed quickly even if the clearance between the grab door outer and the knee of a crew or passenger is narrow when a tier type air bag door is employed in a knee air bag device for vehicle. A fracture portion (50) consisting of a lateral fracture portion (50A) and longitudinal fracture portions (50B, 50C) is formed in the grab door outer general portion (24A). Thus, an air bag door (52) consisting of total six doors, i.e. an upper central air bag door (52A), an upper left side air bag door (52B), an upper right side air bag door (52C), a lower central air bag door (52D), a lower left side air bag door (52E), and a lower right side air bag door (52F), is formed. Even if both knees of the crewman or passenger of a small-sized build are arranged in proximity to or in contact with the lower left side air bag door (52E) and the lower right side air bag door (52F), the lower central air bag door (52D) opens smoothly between both the knees in addition to the upper side air bag doors in the initial stage of development of the air bag door (52).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side airbag device of a vehicular seat capable of mounting even a large airbag unit to a side frame of a seat back and securely developing an airbag forward in the development. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the required rigidity of a glove door while suppressing the increase of the mass of the glove door and the deterioration of the space efficiency of the glove box. SOLUTION: The glove door 20 is constituted by heat-fusing a glove door outer 24 and a glove door inner 26 which are formed of resin. Resin ribs 34 which can store an airbag case 44 accommodating an airbag module 42 are formed integrally on the glove door inner 26. Tips of the resin ribs 34 are heat-fused to the bottom wall 44A of the airbag case 44. End at the open side of the airbag case 44 are heat-fused to the vehicular front surface of the glove door outer 24. Abstract: 車両の前面衝突時に、乗員の膝部がニーエアバッグの収納部に対して近接状態にある場合でも、該膝部をニーエアバッグにより適切に拘束できるようにする。ニーエアバッグ14がガスの供給を受けて助手席の乗員側へ向けて膨張展開する際、該ニーエアバッグ14の中央領域14Aの膨張展開が、フラップ16(展開制御布)により抑制され、端部領域14Bが中央領域14Aよりも先行して膨張展開する。この端部領域14Bは、乗員の膝部とグラブドア24との間から該膝部の外側へと夫々膨張展開して行くので、該膝部に対するニーエアバッグ14の反力を弱めることができる。

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knee airbag device mounted on a column capable of suppressing or preventing impairment of the contraction of a column tube in a collision. SOLUTION: A fitting bracket 70 is press-fitted and fixed to an inner tube 36, and an airbag module 54 is supported by the inner tube 36 via the fitting bracket 70. When a rear end face 38A of an outer tube 38 is interfered with a fixed part 72 of the fitting bracket 70 during the contraction of the column, and the fixed part 72 is pressed backwardly in the column axial direction, the fitting bracket 70 slides in the pressing direction.
