    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for laser marking having a good sensitivity to laser beams and high color developing properties while having the sensitivity to the laser beams with a single material by dispersing surface- treated inorganic particles having themselves the high color developing properties in response to thermal stimulation with the laser beam irradiation in a thermoplastic resin, and a method for laser marking using a resin molded product obtained from the resin composition. SOLUTION: The resin composition for the laser marking comprises the inorganic particles having the surface treated with a metal alkoxide and the thermoplastic resin.
