SOLUTION: The photosensitive donor element sequentially comprises a support 120, a photo-setting layer 130 containing photo-setting component and initiator, a barrier layer 140, a cover sheet 146, a discharge layer 170 containing first polymer having first decomposing temperature, and a top layer 180 having an outside surface and containing second polymer having second decomposing temperature and image formable component in this order. The element further comprises an acceptor element 195 having an acceptor support and an image acceptive layer as needed. Here, a coating film of the layer 180 is actually brought into contact with the acceptor support or the image acceptive layer on the acceptor element. Thus, high resolution optical mask can be formed of the donor element by thermal imaging.

    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a printing plate of high quality by a convenient method by forming an intermediate layer which is soluble or swellable in a water-based medium between a photosensitive layer and a thermosensitive layer. SOLUTION: This element has a photosensitive layer and a thermosensitive layer on a supporting body having a hydrophilic surface. The thermosensitive layer is opaque for the light for which the photosensitive layer has spectral sensitivity and becomes transparent when exposed to laser light. An intermediate layer which is soluble or swellable in a water-based medium is formed between the photosensitive layer and the thermosensitive layer. By using the intermediate layer which is soluble or swellable in a water-based alkali medium, bad effects of the thermosensitive layer on the properties of the photosensitive layer can be prevented. Moreover, sensitivity of the thermosensitive layer for laser exposure is improved, and especially, a process to separate the thermosensitive layer from the image forming material prior to development is made unnecessary. By the presence of the intermediate layer, the thermosensitive layer is easily removed during developing the photosensitive layer.

    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an integral thermal transfer sheet and image receiving paper for thermal transfer wherein the image receiving paper for thermal transfer is excellent in suitable adhesive properties to a thermal transfer film, its peeling property, and an ink acceptive property, they can be colored in colors according to various kinds of choice, printed quality is stabilized, and a definite image is provided even in preservation with time and at high temperature. SOLUTION: The sheet 1 is so constituted that image receiving paper for thermal transfer 20 to which an acceptive layer 22 is provided on a base material 21, and a thermal transfer film 10 to which a heat meltable ink layer 13 is provided on the base material 21 are freely peelably stuck to each other between the acceptive layer 22 side and the heat meltable ink layer 13 side. In this case, the acceptive layer 22 contains at least one layer containing a colorant, and 30 to 80% of total binder of the acceptive layer 22 to a mutually stuck surface side of the acceptive layer 22 is cellulose nitrate or a polyamide resin having Tg of 60 to 250 deg.C.

    摘要: PURPOSE:To enable easy preparation of a negative lith-type film by a conventional thermal transfer printer on the market, by providing a light-transmitting thermoplastic exfoliation layer in a lower layer part on a transparent base sheet and by providing a thermoplastic light-intercepting layer in an upper layer part thereon. CONSTITUTION:A lith-type film material has a light-transmitting thermoplastic exfoliation layer in a lower layer part on a transparent base sheet and has a thermoplastic light-intercepting layer in an upper layer part thereon. The melting point of the exfoliation layer is 55 to 140 deg.C and the viscosity of the exfoliation layer at the time when it is melted by heat needs to be 2000 CPS or below at a temperature of the melting point +30 deg.C. Moreover, the thermoplastic light-intercepting layer needs to contain, in its composition, 5 to 90 parts by weight single or two or more kinds of thermoplastic resin, the softening point of which is 50 to 165 deg.C. The thickness of the light-intercepting layer is in the range of 0.5 to 10mum. The main constituents of the thermoplastic exfoliation layer are solid wax and thermoplastic resin.

    摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium, particularly a color electrosensitive transfer recording medium, suitable for printing characters or images with high resolution, by providing a light-reflective layer capable of being removed by electrosensitive recording on one side of a light-transmitting base, and sequentially providing an intermediate layer comprising a photolyzable compound, a photo-thermal converting layer and a thermally transferrable solid ink layer on the other side of the base. CONSTITUTION:A light-reflective layer 2 capable of being removed by electrosensitive recording is provided on one side of a light-transmitting base 1, whereas an intermediate layer 9 comprising a photolyzable compound, a photo-thermal converting layer 3 and a thermally transferrable solid ink layer 4 are sequentially provided on the other side of the base 1. A binder used in the intermediate layer 9 comprises at least one selected from a thermoplastic resin, a wax and a rubber. The compound in the intermediate layer 9 is photolyzed by transmitted light to generate a gas, thereby enhancing the effect of pressing the ink layer against the surface of an image-receiving paper, and making it possible to transfer characters or images with high resolution and high density even onto an image-receiving paper having low surface smoothness. Besides, a heat-insulating effect of the gas markedly suppresses the diffusion of heat to the light-transmitting base side, and enhances transfer properties.

    摘要: PURPOSE:To attain to enhance resolving power and the strength, oil resistance and chemical resistance of a film, by successively providing a heat-sensitive layer based on a light-heat converting substance and a water-insoluble thermoplastic resin particle and a photosensitive layer based on a specific diazo compound and an epoxy compound on a support. CONSTITUTION:As a light-heat converting substance, a substance capable of converting light to heat upon the absorption of heat is used and, as a water-insoluble thermoplastic resin or a water-soluble thermoplastic resin becoming substantially water- insoluble by heat, one capable of being held as a particle at ambient temp in the heat- sensitive layer is used. On the other hand, as the photocrosslinkable photosensitive substance of a photosensitive layer, an epoxy compound consisting of a diazo compound for releasing Lewis acid and diglycidyl ether of glycol or polyglycidyl ether of polyol is used. By using the above mentioned components, a thermoplastic resin emulsion and the light-heat converting substance are uniformly dispersed while the resulting dispersion is applied to a support and dried to form the heat-sensitive layer and a solution, which is prepared by mixing the diazo compound and the epoxy compound while dissolving or dispersing the resulting mixture in a solvent, is applied to said heat- sensitive layer and dried to provide the photosensitive layer.

    摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain an image, which is excellent in graduation and resolution, with a high-illumination short-period flash, by a method wherein an image element, which is a light-absorbing light-heat transducing material, is combined with a coloring material for heat-sensitive recording consisting of a cyanine dyestuff and a heat-fusible solid acid. CONSTITUTION:Developed silver, particles, or carbon black is used a an image element, wherein the developed silver is an exposed silver halide emulsion, the silver particles are a dispersion of a silver particle in gelatin, which is prepared by reduction of, for example, silver nitrate in a weakly alkaline medium in the presence of gelatin and a Ca salt, and the carbon black is prepared by using said gelatin dispersion. Meanwhile, a heat-fusible solid acid, such as a phenol or an organic carboxylic acid, and a cyanine dyestuff containing a meroxyanine pigment as shown by the formula are dispersed in an aqueous suspension with a ball mill, and are mixed with the image element dispersion to apply it on a sheet. In order to apply an image to the image element, light having an image pattern is used as a flash source.
