PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil composition having performance to prevent the abrasion of metallic pulley and metallic belt and initial shudder preventing performance, capable of keeping the shudder preventing performance for a long period and suitable for a continuously variable transmission having a slip-control wet clutch and a metallic belt. SOLUTION: The lubricating oil composition suitable for a transmission provided with a slip-control wet clutch contains (A) an alkylsalicylic acid metal salt composed of 85-100 mol% monoalkylsalicylic acid metal salt, 0-15 mol% dialkylsalicylic acid metal salt and 40-100 mol% 3-alkylsalicylic acid metal salt and/or its (per)basic salt based on the total composition, (B) a nitrogen compound expressed by general formula (1) and (C) a phosphorus-based abrasion prevention agent in a lubricating base oil. SOLUTION: The shudder-preventing additive composition comprises at least one neutral phosphite and at least one phosphorus-free hydrocarbon-substituted succinic acid dispersant selected from the group consisting of a hydrocarbon-bissuccinimide, a hydrocarbon-substituted succinic ester of a polyol and a mixture thereof. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission fluid composition suitable for use in extreme pressure. SOLUTION: The power transmission fluid composition contains (a) a base oil, (b) a phosphonic acid ester shown by the formula at an extreme pressure performance improving amount, a succinimide dispersant, and an additive composition containing optionally a metal-based detergent. The optional detergent substantially contains no calcium cation. In the formula, R 1 represents about 8-24C hydrocarbyl group, and R 2 and R 3 are independently selected from hydrogen and about 1-8C hydrocarbyl group with a proviso R 2 and R 3 are not equally hydrogen. The present invention relates to additives for lubricating oils and greases which endow said lubricating oils and greases extremely good performance characteristics under boundary lubrication conditions. Such additives are derivatives of monofunctional or difunctional perfluoropolyethers constituted by mercaptans, sulfides, disulfides, phosphines, phosphine-oxides and phosphoric acid triesters.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive useful for production of lubricant for ATF exhibiting high transmission torque volume and high durability for preventing shudder. SOLUTION: The lubricating oil composition comprises a reaction product obtained by reacting an 8-22C straight chain or branched chain saturated or unsaturated monobasic fatty acid with urea and a polyalkylenepolyamine or a reaction product obtained by further reacting the reaction product with boric acid. SOLUTION: This grease composition is prepared by compounding a lube base oil with, based on the total quantity of the composition, 2-30 mass% thickener and 0.1-10 mass% at least one compound selected from the group consisting of phosphorus compounds represented by general formula (1) or general formula (2) and their metal salts and amine salts. In formulas (1) and (2), X 1 to X 3 are each oxygen or sulfur; R 1 to R 3 are each hydrogen or a 1-30C hydrocarbon group; X 4 to X 7 are each oxygen or sulfur; R 4 to R 6 are each hydrogen or a 1-30C hydrocarbon group; at least two of X 1 to X 3 are oxygen; and at least three of X 4 to X 7 are oxygen.
