At least either the drive rotor 1 or the driven rotor 2 is manufactured by die casting. At least either the partition 21 or a surface facing the partition 21 of the rotor 1 or 2 manufactured by die casting is composed of an inclined surface 12A of a tapered portion.

    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing adjusting device capable of improving the internal leakage sealing property between a lead angle oil pressure chamber and a lag angle oil pressure chamber and improving endurance of a seal plate.
    SOLUTION: A seal plate 50 is held between a shoe housing 3 to be rotated synchronously with a driving shaft and a gear 1. An elastic part 55 of the seal plate 50 is provided in a range corresponding to a predetermined relatively movable angle range of a vane part 9(c) of a vane rotor rotatable by a predetermined phase difference with respect to the driving shaft. The elastic part 55 forms a pressure chamber 66 between the end face of the gear 1 for introducing a pressured oil in a lead angle oil pressure chamber 65 to the pressure chamber 66 via a pressured oil introduction path 53. Since the elastic part 55 is pressed toward a vane part 9(c) by the elastic force over a wide range and also by the pressure difference of the pressure chamber 66 and a lag angle oil pressure chamber 62, the internal leakage sealing property is improved. Furthermore, since the load by the elastic force is not concentrated locally, endurance of the seal plate 50 is improved.
