Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition suitable for electrical and electronic parts, etc., having slight mechanical anisotropy and high weld strength by blending a thermotropic liquid crystal polyester with specific amounts of a filler and a specific isocyanate-based silane-containing compound. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100 pts.wt. thermotropic liquid crystal polyester shown by formula I to formula III or formula I to formula IV (Y is group shown by formula V, etc.; Z is group shown by formula VI, etc.) is blended with (B) 0-200 pts.wt., preferably 10-150 pts. wt. filler (e.g. glass fibers) and (C) 0.01-20 pts. wt., preferably 0.1-10 pts.wt. isocyanate-based silane-containing compound shown by formula VII (R is CH3 and/or C2H5; R is CH3; x is 2 and/ or 3).

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition having high strength, Impact strength and excellent weld strength, by adding a specific silane compound and glass fibers to a polyphenylene sulfide resin of specific molecular weight distribution and a specific melt flow rate retention. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100 pts.wt. of polyphenylene sulfide in which the ratio of the number-average molecular weight (Mn) to the weight-average molecular weight (Mw) satisfies the equation I and the melt flow rate retention meets the formula II (MF5 and MF15 are melt flow rate values at the retention times, 5 and 15 minutes, respectively are mixed with (B) 0.01 to 10 pts.wt., preferably 0.1-5 pts.wt. of a silane compound having at least one of isocyanate groups in the molecule (for example, gamma-isocyanatopropyltriethoxysilane, and (C) 10-250 pts.wt. of glass fibers.

CONSTITUTION:The title compsn. is prepd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. organopolysiloxane of which the mean compsn. is shown by formula I [wherein R is a (substd.) monovalent hydrocarbon group; and a is 1.98-2.01] and which has a viscosity at 25 deg.C of 300cSt or higher; 0.1-20 pts.wt. compd. comprising an organosilane having an NCO group and a hydrolyzable group such as an alkoxy group in the molecule or a partially hydrolyzed compd. thereof (e.g. a compd. of formula II or III); and a curing agent (e.g. benzoyl peroxide). The compsn. adheres to metal, glass, ceramic, plastic, fiber, rubber, etc., without using a primer, is excellent in the adhesion to a fabric such as a nylon fabric, and hence is esp. useful for producing a silicone rubber-coated fabric.

CONSTITUTION:A mixture comprising (A) a polyarylene sulfide resin (preferably polyphenylene sulfide) and (B) polyorganosiloxane-based rubber (preferably one having 3-50 swelling degree by toluene immersion) prepared by copolymerizing a linear organosiloxane component with a crosslinkable component (e.g. tetraethoxysilane) or further (C) a filler is blended with (D) an isocyanate group-containing organic silane (preferably gamma- isocyanatopropyltrimethoxysilane) to give a resin composition comprising 1-40 pts.wt. component B, 0.01-10 pts.wt. component D based on 100 pts.wt. component A and 3-300 pst.wt. component C based on total amounts of the component A, B and D.
