摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for distilling an oxystyrene derivative, which does not show the defect of the conventional method. SOLUTION: This method for distilling an oxystyrene derivative represented by general formula (I) (R is an alkyl group, a haloalkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, a cycloalkylalkyl group, an aryl group, especially a benzyl group, an alkoxyalkyl group, an alkanoyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, an aralkyloxycarbonyl group or an alkylsilyl group) comprises adding 2,6-di-tert- butylbenzoquinone 4-oxime as a polymerization inhibitor to the oxystyrene derivative and distilling the oxystyrene derivative in the presence of the polymerization inhibitor. The method prevents formation of a viscous polymeric substance during the distillation process and has effect of high recovery ratio of the distilled oxystyrene derivative.

SOLUTION: The distillation method of an oxystyrene derivative represented by formula (I) (wherein, R represents an alkyl, a haloalkyl, a cycloalkyl, a cycloalkylalkyl, an aryl, especially a phenyl, an aralkyl, especially a benzyl, an alkoxyalkyl, an alkanoyl, an alkoxycarbonyl, an aralkyloxycarbonyl, or an alkylsilyl) is characterized by adding 2,6-dimethylbenzoquinon as a polymerization inhibitor into the oxystyrene derivative, followed by distillation in the presence of the polymerization inhibitor. This method prevents formation of polymeric materials with high viscosity during the distillation process and distills the oxystyrene derivative with high recovery rate.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economically efficient distillation method for an oxystyrene derivative in high recovery rate of the product while generating little polymers having high viscosity during the distillation process.
SOLUTION: An oxystyrene derivative expressed by general formula (I) (R is an alkyl group, a haloalkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, a cycloalkylalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group (especially phenyl group), a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group (especially benzyl group), an alkoxyalkyl group, an alkanoyl group (especially acetyl group), an alkoxycarbonyl group, an aralkyloxycarbonyl group or an alkylsilyl group) is distilled in the presence of a polymerization inhibitor. The polymerization inhibitor to be added to the distillation system is benzoquinone or a benzoquinone derivative. Distillation of oxystyrene derivative can be carried out in high distillation recovery of the oxystyrene derivative while generating little polymers having high viscosity during the distillation process.

By this method, a viscous polymer-like material is prevented from forming during a distillation step as well as the oxystyrene derivative distillate is recovered in high yield.

According to the present method, such an effect is obtained that the formation of a high viscous polymeric material is sufficiently prevented and the recovery of the distilled oxystyrene derivatives is high.
