PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector having sufficient shieldability against electromagnetic waves without causing deterioration of workability and contact pressure or the like. SOLUTION: Since the upper face side of the connector 10 is covered by an actuator 12, a shell 70, and a movable plate 80 made of a conductive material, and these actuator 12, shell 70, and movable plate 80 are grounded to a grounding pattern of a printed wiring board, the electromagnetic waves generated from the connector 10 is surely shielded. The movable plate 80 moves back and forth accompanied with the operation of the actuator 12. For that reason, with only closing operation of the actuator 12, a gap between the actuator 12 and the shell 70 can be closed by the movable plate 80, and it is not necessary to mount additional parts in order to secure the shieldability. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector assembly, compact and inexpensive, can easily take off a connector from a counterpart insertion-coupling connector without damaging constituent members, in case an excessive rotation moment acts on that one connector at an insertion-coupling state. SOLUTION: The electric connector assembly 1 consists of a first connector 10 and a second connector 20 insertion-coupled with each other. When an up-and-down or right-and-left rotation moment acts on the first connector 10 in an insertion-coupling state with the second connector 20, the first connector 10 rotates in an up-and-down or right-and-left direction around a fulcrum of one piece of elastic latch part 24a, 24b, 24c, or 24d of the second connector 20, and a latch part 14a, 14b, 14d, or 14c of the first connector 10, so that a latch engagement at points other than that fulcrum is to be released. SOLUTION: In a state where an actuator 40 is at an open position, by a convex part 10b in which a downward gradient 10b1 going toward the depth side of its opening 10_1 from an entrance of the opening 10_1 is formed, a conductor for connection of an FPC is inserted into the opening 10_1 downward from obliquely above, and next, the actuator 40 is rotated, the FPC that is inserted into the opening 10_1 is pressed from above by a rotation shaft 40a, and the conductor for connection of the FPC is electrically connected to a contact part 21b2 of a front contact 21. SOLUTION: In a main housing 110, a head portion 111 spreading over a rear portion of a coupling convex portion 112 in a direction of coupling with a counterpart connector includes an electric cable end housing portion 1110 which projects toward a direction of a cable being extracted. A cover housing 120 covering the head portion 11 includes a cable end covering portion 1210 which covers the cable end housing portion 1110. Then, the cable end housing portion 1110 includes a cable locking portion 1112 which projects from a bottom portion of the cable end housing portion 1110 to a side of the cover housing 1120 on one end of the cable 20 housed in the cable end housing portion 1110 and the one end of the cable 20 and the cable end covering portion 1210. SOLUTION: The pair of leg portions 20 to be pressed into the through-hole 51 have pawls 24a and 24b having slopes 25a and 25b extending in a direction approaching each other and facing obliquely in mutually opposite directions with respect to the width direction of a base 10, at their tips, and in a step where the pair of leg portions 20 are pressed into the through-hole 51 while being brought into contact with internal surfaces of both lengthwise ends of the through-hole 51, the slopes 25a and 25b of the pair of leg portions 20 are brought into contact with each other and press each other to make the pawls 24a and 24b formed at the tips of both the pair of leg portions 20 advance obliquely along the slopes 25a and 25b, so that the pawls 24a and 24b penetrate the through-hole 51 and protrude from the through-hole 51 in the plate thickness direction of the base 10 to be caught by the edge of the through-hole 51. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of easily determining appropriateness of the height of a sealant layer without carrying out a destruction inspection regardless of a condition (liquid) and transparency (permeability) of a sealant filled in the recess formed in a housing for securing sealing-tightness of the contact insertion holes in the housing wherein the contact insertion holes for inserting a plurality of contacts of pin-shape are formed. SOLUTION: The connector 1 has an insulating housing 10 having a recess 11 formed and contacts 20 of pin-shape which are installed in a plurality of contact insertion holes 11b formed in the recess 11, and in the recess 11, a sealant for securing sealing-tightness of the contact insertion hole 11b is filled. A height decision part 30 which determines proper height of the sealant layer 50 formed by filling the sealant is installed in the bottom face 11a of the recess 11.
