PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of removing an underground obstacle, capable of reducing an excavation amount on the inner peripheral side in a casing as much as possible and surely gripping and removing an underground obstacle inside the casing even when an excavation space formed inside the casing is filled with excavation debris.SOLUTION: A lifting device 1 is inserted into a casing 17 where the underground obstacle is excavated, the lifting device 1 is fixed to the casing 17 by opening a holding arm 3 at an insertion position, and the lifting device 1 is pushed in while being rotated together with the casing 17. The outer periphery of the underground obstacle positioned inside the casing 17 or the periphery is scraped off over a prescribed length from an upper end by a cutting bit 16 provided on a holding pawl of the holding arm 3, and the underground obstacle is held by the holding pawl of the holding arm 3 after the rotation of the casing 17 and push-in are stopped. Thereafter, the underground obstacle positioned inside the casing 17 is lifted by the lifting device 1 and taken out of the casing 17.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for lifting an underground obstacle, which can surely grip the underground obstacle with an excavated periphery and which can grip a plurality of types of underground obstacles with different diameters by a single structure.SOLUTION: In a device for lifting an underground obstacle, a plurality of sandwiching arms 3 are attached to a supporting member 2 held in a suspended state by a wire of a crane, etc. The device for lifting an underground obstacle makes each of the sandwiching arms 3 open and close by a hydraulic cylinder 4. A position of attachment of each of the sandwiching arms 3 to the supporting member 2 is set positionally adjustable in the opening/closing direction of the sandwiching arm 3 so that a diameter of gripping by each of the sandwiching arms 3 can be changed.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavator for removably and surely fixing an inner excavating unit to a cylindrical casing with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A locking cutout part 32 is recessed on an inside surface of the cylindrical casing C. The inner excavating unit U has a locking slide member 20 for freely advancing-retreating in the radial direction. The locking slide member 20 moved outside in the radial direction locks on the side edge 33 of the locking cutout part 32.
