    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery pack capable of testing normal operation of protection function of a protection circuit by loading a test circuit for protection function diagnosis on a protection circuit substrate.
    SOLUTION: This secondary battery pack tests the normal operation of the protection function and is equipped with: a voltage generation circuit 7 for generating a plurality of test voltages for testing whether the protection function by the protection circuit 2 for controlling a switching circuit 3 into the off-state is operated normally or not by detecting an abnormal phenomenon including overcharge, overdischarge or overcurrent of a secondary battery by connecting the switching circuit 3 in series between the secondary battery 1 and an output terminal; a change-over circuit 6 for switching input of the protection circuit 2 to either of a signal for detecting the abnormal phenomenon and the test voltage generated from the voltage generation circuit 7; and a test control circuit 5 for generating successively the plurality of test voltages by controlling the voltage generation circuit 7 by a test instruction, and testing the protection function of the protection circuit 2 by switching the input of the protection circuit 2 to the test voltage generated from the voltage generation circuit 7 by controlling the change-over circuit 6.
