Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid degrading the aesthetic appearance around a seat caused by the presence of a reacher. SOLUTION: The reacher 30 is usually stored in a retraction space 16 inside a shield 13. In wearing a seat belt 20, a webbing moves to a position sufficiently accessible to an occupant M when the reacher 30 changes from a standby position to a usable condition. After the occupant M wear the seat belt 20, the reacher 30 is returned to a standby position and retracted into the shield 13. The reacher 30 is exposed only for a short time while the occupant M is taking an action of wearing the seat belt 20. Abstract: A head rest device is provided that improves the reliability of detecting a head on the basis of a change in capacitance without complicating a wiring structure. A head rest device (10) is provided with a head rest rear portion (11) supported to a seat back, and a head rest front portion (12) freely moving forward and backward between a fully-closed position coming close to the head rest rear portion (11) and a fully-open position separated from the head rest rear portion (11). The head rest front portion (12) is moved by an actuator (14). Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headrest control device capable of moving a headrest to a position where it can cope with a rear-end collision of a vehicle in a short time when the collision is predicted or detected. SOLUTION: The headrest control device is provided with a headrest drive mechanism 30 for moving the headrest forward and backward, a distance detecting means (a headrest sensor 40) for detecting a distance between a head of a seated occupant and the headrest, a collision detecting means (a collision predicting means 43) for detecting or predicting a collision, and a control means 44 for driving the headrest drive mechanism 30 to control the distance between the head of the seated occupant and the headrest. The control means 44 has a first control means 44A for operating the headrest drive mechanism 30 to move the headrest to the predetermined position where it can cope with a rear-end collision of the vehicle on the basis of a detecting signal from the distance detecting means, and a second control means 44B for operating the headrest drive mechanism 30 to move the headrest to a close position closer to the head of the occupant in comparison with the predetermined position.
