For this purpose, the invention provides a headrest controller for moving a part (20A) or whole of a headrest (20) of a vehicle seat toward a head of the passenger to reduce the distance between the headrest (20) and the head in the horizontal direction by predicting or detecting a crash to the rear of the vehicle, including a head position detecting unit (11) for detecting a predetermined state of approach or state of contact of the headrest (20) to or with the head during the movement of the headrest (20) and a control circuit for stopping the headrest based on a detection signal from the head position detecting unit (11).

Alternatively, the ECU (20) determines that the head rest front portion (12) comes close to the occupant head portion on the basis of a change amount of the electrostatic capacitance value of the electrostatic capacitance sensor (14).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary the permissible amount of deformation of a seating surface of a net seat of which the seating surface is composed of a net body. SOLUTION: The net seat 1 has the seating surface 7 composed of the net body 13 stretched to be installed and the net body 13 has segments varying in the permissible amount of expansion. The net body 13 is mounted with a regulating member 40 abutting the surface of the net body 13, by which the permissible amount of expansion of the net body 13 in the segment provided with the regulating member 40 is regulated. The permissible amount of the expansion in the prescribed area of the net body 13 is varied, by which the permissible amount of the deformation is varied depending upon the segments of the seating surface 7. The permissible amount of the deformation of the seating surface is adjusted in compliance with the varying magnitude of the load exerted by the seating, by which the feel of seating can be improved.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent headrest elements from catching a foreign body between the split parts of the headrest elements, when the headrest element moved forward is returned to a normal position. SOLUTION: In a headrest control device in a vehicle, a headrest 20 is divided into a headrest element 21 on the front side and a headrest element 22 on the back side, a driving mechanism 30 operates the headrest element 21 to move from the normal position to the head of a seated person based on a sensing signal from a collision predicting/sensing means. The headrest control device includes a foreign body sensing means for sensing the foreign body between the split parts 23 of the headrest elements when the headrest element 21 is returned to the normal position by the operation of the driving mechanism 30, and a prevention means for preventing the foreign body from being caught between the split parts 23 of the headrest elements based on the sensing of the foreign body by the foreign body sensing means.
